I've been using Rocks for nearly ten years, and would definitely call them the best in the area. They have worked on my fridges at my home and at my office several times, my garbage disposal, and my dishwasher three times. Every time they've sent out someone within a few days, they knew what they were doing, and got me up and running as quickly as they could (The dishwasher is an Electrolux with factory defect issues, it's horrible, don't even get me started).
I read the negative reviews posted here, and just have to shake my head sometimes. Getting angry because there was difficulty getting a part for a stove that was almost 20 years old, had electrical surge damage that they had apparently decided to fix themselves instead of having a service call done to even make sure the problem was diagnosed correctly is unreasonable enough. Then sounding as though the earth should stop turning for them and they should get all kinds of sympathy and special accommodation just because they have FIVE KIDS? I don't think so. Wait your turn, and pay your money like everyone else has to.
Rocks is a busy place, very busy, and decent help gets harder to find every year. Sometimes there is several days wait to get a tech out, and often parts take a week to come in. That's not unreasonable. You cannot stock every part for every machine people might have in their homes, that's insane. You'd need a warehouse the size of ten city blocks. Literally. The stuff that is mostly generic they do carry, specialty parts they order. It makes sense. If you order parts from places all across the country it takes time for them to come in, that's the real world. Is it inconvenient? Sure. Tough. Get over it. My dishwasher is spewing crud all over my dishes instead of cleaning them as we speak. I have to hand wash everything. It stinks. Do I blame Rocks? Nope. They didn't make the thing, they didn't install it and it's almost seven years old. Hopefully they'll be able to fix it for not a whole lot of money. I think I know what's wrong with it, but I'm not a trained tech so I'm getting them out to confirm it so it gets fixed right the first time. If it's too expensive for me to afford to fix right now or needs to be replaced then I'll be hand washing more dishes for a while. That's kind of how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn August 26, 2015, there was a storm. The next day I found out a neighbor saw lightning hit our pole above our kitchen window. All I know is I came home and our oven was beeping F1. I had to get all 5 of my children inside. My husband went to Rock's to find a replacement part. Our stove is 91'/92' model. The part cost us $90!!! They said they would give a refund if it did not work. We set it up and the Oven button wasnt even functional!!! The button was indented and not even usable. The broil button didn't work either. So my husband went back and the man suggested switching that board into our cover, since our oven button worked on ours. Ugh. They told him they would refund if it did not work!! My husband brought it home, but it took us a few days to even try it, because my husband works 3rd shift with Carolinas Healthcare and we have FIVE children (so we had to do it while the oldest children were at school). It did not work!! It was beeping F3! He went to take it back today and they REFUSED to refund us the money!!! So here I am, with NO functioning oven and out $90!!!!! I have FIVE children, youngest being 2.5 year old twins! It was hard enough forking out $90 just for that part!!! What a way to screw people over! If you need a part, go somewhere else!! Or figure something else out! How can people like that sleep at night!!! I am thankful we can at least use our burners, but I have no idea what we are going to do about our oven now! I shared a picture of our oven on their facebook page! It has masking tape over where the digital board/buttons go. It's only a matter of time before my kids start playing with it, ugh. It's just disappointing, no morals no decency....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHORRIBLE - This guy is a complete LIAR. Stay away! And goes under Appliance Max name too. Lied about cost of parts even after I asked him if we could check Amazon (he quoted $300-$325) and amazon had for $125-$138 and said he looked it up and his "supplier price" would be lowest price I would find anywhere. Then tells me a total price of $425 and said he needed an "autho only" and then goes ahead and charges my card $478.45. When he pulled up the four square signature pad and I said "what am I signing, there is only a signature pad", and told me I would get a receipt in my email.
I check after Christmas and when I saw what he did immediately emailed him and canceled. He tried charging me $129.99 to come out and scam me which if I have to, I will go to court. He then lies to American Express and tells them he did the repair! Which never happened. Also, I called GE and this oven is on recall and all parts were sent directly to me for free! They said that would show when he looked up the parts. This man is the most dishonest person I have ever dealt with. American Express is now fighting it and I am reporting him to every agency possible. What a nightmare. It's no wonder his name of "appliance max" for his company no longer shows up when I try to google it. Apparently he does this to many...
