Such a GREAT place for my 3.5yo son to learn and explore science. We went during a weekday, which allowed us free rein of the place because there wasn’t too many people there.
I love how science-intense the exhibits are. They’re intense, yet informative and easy to understand. I also LOVE the life story with pictures displayed of the founder of the Monroe Science Center. What an incredibly driven, intelligent and passionate individual she is. I also love that she felt compelled to share with her community her wisdom; which in return gives back to the community by sparking the interest of science and physics into the minds of the youth in our community.
I can’t wait to go back with my kiddo soon!
There was also a super friendly and kind associate that worked there. She was so refreshing to speak with. I’m horrible with names but I want to say her name is Jane. She definitely deserves kudos because she was so warm...

The outside looked like a rundown building and I wasn’t sure if I had the right place at first. The staff were really nice though. Not worth the $10 admission fee for such a small place. While there were a couple of nice exhibits, why have so many ‘roller coaster’ exhibits? That took up one entire room. There could be 3-4 other exhibits in that one room. Also, if you go, don’t go when it’s busy. It’s super loud in there, can’t hear someone next to you talking normally, and you’ll be waiting an hour just to see one exhibit. There were some we couldn’t do today due to it being so busy and that was shortly after they opened. We...
Read moreWe had a blast at the Monroe Science Center back in November to help celebrate our daughter’s third birthday! It was a Wednesday afternoon so it wasn’t crowded at all and there were lots of activities to keep our littles entertained (3 & 1). Our favorites were the water activity table, mother/baby private nursing room, paper airplane making/flying activity, sensory room, kinetic sand pit, gravity balls, story time, and extra friendly staff! Our little girl even made friends with another little boy and his parents and they surprised her with a sticker book from the gift shop as they were leaving. 😭😭 Thanks to the Monroe Science Center, we’ll never forget the day our little girl turned three. 🥹 Check it out for an affordable afternoon of fun with...
