Thai Won On — Restaurant in Monroe

Was really excited to try this new spot downtown. To give them benefit of the doubt, we (2 of us) came at 6:45pm. It was obviously their rush hour. We were never told how long the wait would be or told that they were “very busy and backed up” as we were later told. It took us 27 minutes to ever get waters. One waitress walked by and after I asked if we could get a water next time she came around, she replied “that would be nice.. wouldn’t it!” with a very apparent attitude. The comment was so uncalled for that 2 other tables overheard and were in literal disbelief. After 15 more minutes to get our order taken, multiple tables were complaining about the service. The table next to us said they had been there for over 2 hours with no bill. The food, however, was great. Being busy and new is one thing, but unacceptable customer service is another. Payment for our meal required us to download an app which was another inconvenience. Won’t be returning, but I hope...

I especially love the outdoor seating area—it's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the weather. The food is excellent; I've tried a few dishes now and have been impressed every time. Dinner was the best tonight. Met the owners Bill and Tookie of Thai Won On tonight, awesome people. Everyone that’s knows me in the architecture and construction business I’m all about getting to know everyone and become friend with all. When coming here I will be back, I look and become friends with everyone. They are a family business, authentic Thai food, homemade- it’s freshly made daily. Flavors so good you’re crying and if anyone knows me I like good flavors, priced well for what you’re getting. Recipes is all hers and passed down from her mother. All authentic as I said, all cut to order, sping rolls made everyday, hot to your table. This check all the boxes and more.
