SELLS USED ITEMS AS NEW - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL - I purchased Apple Watch series 3 from the store, and I asked for a brand new watch. I was informed by sales representative that the watch was brand new prior to my purchase. After I made payment, I was handed the watch in a plastic bag. As soon as I received the bag, I took the box out and I noticed that watch box was not sealed. So, I opened the box in front of sales representative and I found out that the watch was open box (probably a return from someone else). Usually a new watch is wrapped with a plastic inside the box, but this watch was NOT. Watch was already set up (unlike a new watch), watch band had marks on them. So, basically they SOLD me USED WATCH by saying it WAS A BRAND NEW WATCH. When I talk to manager, she told me that "this is how we receive the watch, if you don't want it I can give you refund." Instead of admitting that they lied before selling the watch, she was trying to convince me that was a new watch. At first, Manager told me that they never take any return on watch, so the watch could not be used at all. And I told her that few minutes ago, I was informed by sales representative that the watch has 30 days return policy, then manager changed her statement and told me yes, we do take returns if it is in salable condition. I asked manager if she can give me in written that what she is claiming that watch comes open like how they sold me, and she kept on making excuses and did not give me anything in writing. They wrote down my information and I was informed that I will be contacted by someone to resolve the issue, and no one contacted me so far. Read moreI was on my way to a family member's funeral and needed to stop there to have a sensor removed from a high-end blazer I'd purchased a week earlier. I was fully dressed for the funeral when I arrived at Macy's, except for the blazer.
The blazer was freshly steam ironed, placed on the hanger, receipt was queued up on my phone before I arrived. I approached a checkout counter that had several customers waiting in line for assistance, and decided to search for a shorter line. Wallah, I found it. However, I was directed to use another register. One that had the sensor removal device.
I walked over to an open register, explained to the salesperson that I needed the sensor removed because I was going to wear the jacket to a funeral. I showed him my digital receipt and handed the jacket to him. The salesperson snatched the jacket, removed it from the hanger, began twisting and balling up the jacket fabric, and asked me to give him a printed receipt instead of a digital receipt.
I had to insist that he use my digital receipt to scan the barcode for purchase confirmation. I also had to ask him several times not to crumple the jacket fabric as I was going to wear it immediately after leaving the store. He said he had no other way to remove the sensor that wouldn't crumple the fabric.
I had to show the salesperson that the sensor COULD be removed by gently handling the fabric. I'm not sure if I'll shop at this location again but if I do, I'll double-check that ALL sensors have been removed before I...
Read moreIve been shopping with Macys for years, like over 10 years, and i always like to shop online. Im just the person that does not like to walk around the mall looking for stuff. So everything will comes by mail, or i would do pick up order. Many many times ive been in-out from Macys to return the stuff that i did not like. All these years there not even 1 employee that make nice impression for me to write review. Some are nice but mostly are just not really. Then, last month i came to the store and needed to return some couple watches. And Daisy helped me. For some reason it wont get thru the system, and it has to go to directly the watches counter. Then Daisy was really nice and let me know she cant do the return there, and explained everything why, and also walked me to the watches counter. She doesnt have to walked me there, but she did. She went above and beyond to provided me an exceptional service! Many times other employee would just tell me i have to go different counter to do refund. Without telling me why, or where the counter at. Daisy was so detail and very kind.
