I cannot shout from the rooftops about how amazing Fleurs Du Soleil is.

I recently got married at Folktale Winery in Carmel Valley and was pointed to Fleurs Du Soleil by the venue and the photographer and I see why (photos attached - not even professional photos and look how amazing the flowers look).

For starters: The staff are INCREDIBLE to work with. Kim, the owner, took over my account briefly after our artist had left and was a gem to work with. She understood exactly what I was looking for when I talked about wanting to just enhance the venue and I never once felt like I was being upcharged or was being sold on something I didn't want. She was very reasonably priced and worked with me to accomodate my budget, not to mention very sweet to chat with.

I was absolutely overwhelmed and shell shocked with how gorgeous our flowers were and felt Fleurs even over delivered on what was contracted. Guests STILL are gushing to me a month later about my flowers!!

One final HUGE shoutout to Hannah, our lead designer that worked with me in the month leading up to the wedding. Not only was she incredibly quick with a reply, but her warm, energetic artistic personality translated into the client experience (which as a bride, was SO needed due to stress in other areas). I let her know I fully trusted her and gave her creative license and WOW SHE BLEW ME AWAY. Hannah just moved away from the Monterey area, but I would highly recommend her and will endorse her work to anyone who asks. She is incredibly talented and a phenomenal human.

I hired this florist on the recommendation of my wedding coordinator and booked them many months in advance. I had a hard time getting in touch with the person that had my account starting 2 months out when I was trying to confirm and add additional corsages I was ordering. In addition I started to get worried because they called me twice thinking that I was the wedding coordinator. They seemed disorganized but I wasn’t prepared for the bouquet they made for my wedding day in early July. The Bridal bouquet was nothing like I ordered, not the proper shape or that it was supposed to be a mostly green bouquet. It really was ugly and sparse, not my vibe at all and not wrapped in raffia. I was so upset on my wedding day and my friends had to find flowers and greens that were used elsewhere to cobble together a bouquet. That’s how low quality the work was. I called the business after the wedding, first explaining the situation to the staff, and then the owner after I called back a couple times to get a hold of her. I wanted to give the owner a chance to make things right. She was dismissive, defensive and rude. I sent a photo of the bridal bouquet and showed that it did not look anything like the inspiration pics and she said she’ll call me back later and I never heard from her. If you’re looking for a supportive and accountable leader, my experience with this owner was quite the opposite. Working under her was one of the most frustrating and discouraging experiences of my career. I found that accountability was often lacking, and employees frequently bore the consequences of leadership decisions.

In my time there, I observed a pattern where mistakes were rarely acknowledged at the management level, and blame was often shifted onto employees. Many team members expressed frustration over feeling undervalued and unsupported. There was a tendency for leadership to take credit for team successes while distancing themselves from failures.
