El Estero Snack Bar — Restaurant in Monterey

Wow so surprised that the food was average 😳. First the price of a burger here is cheap 6 dollars. I got a double burger no cheese or bacon, I had to arrange the patties so both were visible for the picture. The meat is slightly better than Mc Donald's however the patties are the same size and are smaller than the bun. The fries were not edible for me, they were thin crunchy and over cooked, no other choices for starch with burger. I was really looking forward to eating here, the reviews are solid however the experience was underwhelming. Spend 4 dollars more and get a quality burger or eat here and enjoy the nostalgia. They haven't raised thier prices in 20 years so that's a plus. Bring your own chips and drinks and get a bag of cheap...

This is one of the best tasting burgers I've had in a long time! I had a double cheeseburger and added grilled onions and it was "melt in your mouth" good! My son had the chicken nuggets and said they were the best nuggets he has ever tasted. The food was so good that my husband went back to give them his compliments. We spent $38 for a family of 4 (including a few snacks) and this food tasted better than the $107 meal we had at the Hard Rock. This is a snack bar next to a baseball field so set your expectations appropriately and prepare to be blown away. The burgers and fries are delicious and priced affordable, classic candy, snow cones, my kids and I love this place. Skip McDonalds and come here. There isn’t a lot of seating (it’s a snack bar, not a full blown restaurant), so grab one of the tables throughout the park, or bring a blanket and find somewhere to sit...
