I love this store. I am going to buy something every time I walk in unless the line is too long. However, this particular visit has me wanting to apply for a management job at this location. My mother in law and I went in on a Sunday morning just to look. There was staff everywhere putting things out and rolling carts around. These carts always get in the way but are usually manageable. One lady was working two carts on one aisle and also had a smaller cart with maybe a label maker on it. My mother in law was trying to show me something and the lady never said hello! excuse me! do you need to get here? Absolutely nothing. Just kept working without saying anything at all. I understand putting things out in a rush as I am a store manager at a big box retailer but to not even speak to your customer? I finally asked if she could slide one cart down a bit and at the very least say excuse me?? This is after I saw a man scold another employee for calling him for help and that she needed to act like he wasn’t there because it was his off day and there were other people to call. Another employee walked past me and in between the shelf I was looking at without even saying excuse me. Lastly, there was a girl on another aisle with a cart and she never offered to slide down just a bit. She wasn’t even working on the aisle she had the cart parked on. I chose to shop there as well as anyone else that walks in that store and a little customer service would...
Read moreI love shopping at our Marshall’s/Home Goods store in Montg, AL. Yesterday while shopping there, I witnessed @ least 4 people shopping without a face mask on, and saw a lady complain to a woman stocking shelves. Our City Council signed an Executive Order two days ago mandating face masks in public places. Failure to comply can result in a $25 fine for individuals and a $250 fine for businesses who fail to comply by making their shoppers aware! 2nd fine includes shut down of business for up to 14 days. I questioned the manager of both the Marshall’s side of store and Home Goods side of store and both said they could NOT enforce use of masks!! Really, I thought! All other businesses in Montg have signs posted in entrances regarding REQUIREMENT of face masks! No masks, No service are on some business...others just have signs addressing REQUIREMENT. I explained the Executive Order to the managers; the Marshall’s Manager reiterated to me “we cant make someone wear a mask,” while the Home Goods Mgr said she was not aware of the Exec Order or any fines that businesses could incur!! Couldn’t believe!! Listen to your local news folks...it’s been in the...
Read moreI like marshalls in general, they have alot of cheap deals even with designer items.. But the marshalls here in montgomery is limited, compared to the marshalls in birmingham that I recently went to. Prices are really cheap and products are more organized and (more designer itens in marshalls birmingham) compared to montgomery branch. As for the home goods, regular prices.. some are expensive, some are reasonable. Home decorations and furnitures could be found here. I still need to spend more time to roam around, because both shops are combined.. there's just a divider in the middle.. to separate marshalls...
