I used to enjoy going to this chipotle since I live here in Montgomery, but I would rather drive to the location in prattville than spend another dime here. I have had two bad experiences in a row and will definitely not be returning now. The first experience was having to order online due to short staff, which I understand due to the lack of people working now. However what was not understandable was the little amount of food that was put into my bowl, there was barely enough rice to cover the bottom of the bowl. I called the manager who then told me I could return my food after I had driven all the way home across the city. After telling him no I would like a refund he then told me that I could not get the refund put to my card, I would have to come pick up the money.
I then return to the establishment two weeks later around 8pm and expected the normal dinner rush. Once I got to order they made my bowl and then put it to the end to pay, while I was waiting for my husband to order. He then stood there for five minutes while they made 7 online orders in front of him instead of making his order first. There was no acknowledgement of the lady making the food to my husband, she acted like he was never waiting there. Once he got his food ordered the lady took his bowl and left it sitting on the counter for about 30 seconds while the two other employees working were not even concerned that his food was sitting there. One was standing back talking to another employee and the other was putting the online orders in the bag. I understand the employee putting the online orders in the bag but the one talking? Seriously? While there’s still 10 people in line behind me. After we have gotten our food and go to pay I then asked if I could receive my refund the manager then told me I had to wait for another manager to come to receive it. Needless to say I should’ve left when they skipped serving my husband and made the online orders first!!!
I will never be returning to this...
Read moreHot, large, tasty portions of your choice of ingredients to construct the menu items ( bowl is my fav). I can make 3 meals from one bowl, even a large appetite can make 2 easily. The medium salsa is my fav ( green) in flavor but I have it sparingly added to the mild red tomato based salsa in the bowl itself. If you like heat then go for the smooth top of the line hot - my kid from Texas loved it . You have both shredded and smooth cheese choices , multiple bean options, and white or brown rice ( both with a lime flavor) . I suggest you go at prime meal times. Waiting , which is standing in line to personally point out and construct your meal specifically the way you want it, is worth the hot off the grill meat refills that the grill chef will be refilling the hot counter with. If you breeze in ,in the off hours no wait but it will be what's left , right? New the last time in was a cold fruit based drink dispenser containing Really! SWEET lemonade, pomegranate, hibiscus and other choices for the same price as the sodas and tea. You serve your own drinks. The only thing I would change is to include individually wrapped plastic cutlery or a different dispensing of forks and knives would be an improvement over the community grab system currently in place. Chips are crisp and sprinkled with a lime zest sometimes more or less but aren't typically hot as they pre- bag them into a lunch sized brown bag. It, the bag, is about a 1 & 1/2 serving so if you like chips I'd order each his own. Newest drink the watermelon lime was different, not a favorite but not bad... again though you have 3 other fresh juice choices. The children's Quesadilla meal should be plenty for the child with an average appetite. Today's visit seemed shorter staffed than normal as a result, the area beneath the tables could have used a cleaning ( though a young man was on top of the table tops / wiping them...
Read moreCame to this location around 9:20 pm and they had signs on their doors saying that they were only accepting mobile orders due to being understaffed. We took a few minutes to order and put it to be done at 9:40 pm, the fastest time they had available in the app. We stood in the place for 20 minutes (10 minutes after the order was supposed to have been done) and observed the following:
There were 8 employees that we could see, and both of us being former Chipotle employees, we knew they should’ve sent people home rather than saying they were understaffed.
Everybody was moving in slow motion. Even the person cleaning up the lobby wasn’t doing it in a timely manner. They stood around and talked with the other employees and called out a few names to where nobody could understand.
When we got our food, all that was in our bowls were 3 items each. Rice, protein, and 1 of the toppings we each requested. No signs were up and the person we talked to about our order didn’t say anything about the things they were out of.
I am beyond appalled at the work of this Chipotle. We have had a sub par experience from them multiple times, but this takes the cake. If there was a single manager inside, they need to be fired. Almost no work was being done with there being 8 people working in the establishment.
If I could give 0 stars for service, I would. I should’ve cancelled the order and gotten my money back like my boyfriend wanted, but I had hope the food would still be good despite the wait. But alas, I was wrong. We had to add on stuff we had at home to make our bowls even feel...
