Iâm a big proprietor of not leaving 1 star reviews but my experience here was pretty terrible. Had an appointment for 1 o clock, didnât get helped other than being given a form to fill out until 1:40. When we finally got helped, they took some more info and put it into a tablet to auto generate what our measurements should be for our suits. I asked the girl if they were going to do real physical measurements and she said that they would, that the automatic ones were just to get a baseline. All of a sudden, a gentleman with glasses who was fairly tall came over and started to micromanage her and take over the conversation. She asked him quietly if he was going to do our measurements and he said under his breath, although I heard him, âNo weâre not doing that, they havenât picked anything out yet.â Then he asked me what I was thinking about and when I showed him, he said, âOh thatâs a $3000 suit.â And every couple of seconds in conversation he just kept repeating it to me as if I didnât understand. Maybe if you want to have and keep customers, you shouldnât make assumptions about them before you talk pricing. He said they didnât have anything like that in store and that the closest they had was another suit, which he showed me, that looked absolutely nothing like it other than they were both a shade of blue (completely different ones). He then said he would go ahead and do my measurements, but not my groomsmen, and told me to look on the website because unless I ordered a custom piece, they didnât have what I was looking for. And that is fine, I do not mind doing that, but the attitude and demeanor were awful. It got to the point where he mentioned the cost of what I showed him a fourth time and I had to stop him and say, âYeah thatâs not an issue so letâs talk about what you can do.â Insanely rude. I get that the store was busy, but that doesnât mean you sacrifice your customer experience.
UPDATE: I found the suit that the gentleman wearing the glasses kept repeatedly saying was a, "$3000 suit" online. It costs $350. Coincidentally, at that price, it looked better than both of the ones he tried to pawn off on me which I believe were both...
Read moreVery disappointed in the tux my son was put into! My sonâs entire fraternity rented tuxedos for their big banquet. I was not with him when he went into get fitted nor was I with him when he picked it up. My son informed me how bad the young man was when he was getting fitted. Just didnât really seem to pay attention to what he was doing. I asked well did they take your measurements for the coat and pants? He said they did. So i figured it should be ok. WRONG When my son went to pick it up he said he tried it on, well being his first tux ( and he is a big guy) he focused on the fitting part as he could get the pants on and closed, same with the jacket. So he took it on to his house, no worries until I saw him in it. His jacket sleeves were to short came up his arm about 3 - 4 inches. The pants were way way to short. It looked like a little kid trying on last years clothes and figuring out he had grown several inches. When I called the young man I spoke to was not at all concerned about the situation, was more worried about putting the blame on my son then the companyâs job of making sure that this fit correctly. At the time I called he asked if my son had tried it on when he picked it up, I didnât know the answer for sure and told the employee that. So he went into well if he tried it on thatâs when he should of this and he should of that⊠I said what should of happened is we should be able to rely on the professionals of this store to make sure he looked right! That wasnât what happened. The employee told me well I guess you can talk to the manager if you want. I did not at that time until I could talk to my son and get more details. I have not called back due to an illness, however they had my sons number as well but he never received any calls back from...
Read moreI rented a suit here for a wedding. The suit was baggy and ill-fitting and several members of the wedding party received incorrect orders. They did order me alternate sizes to ship to the destination of the wedding at no additional charge, even though they don't carry slim fit shirts in the product we ordered. Which brings up another point; the order didn't arrive until three days before the wedding so there was little time to fix any issues.
Given the price of the rental (~$300) you would think you'd have plenty of lead time and then a couple of days to return it, not to mention it should actually fit... I've literally purchase a nicer suit for cheaper at Jos. A. Bank, not to mention the superior service at Bank. The staff were nice enough but certainly didn't go out of their way to offer advice or input on the fit, and I had to ask a LOT of questions to get the info I needed.
This brings me to the most absurd part of the rental experience. It was due for return the day after the wedding even though I was traveling with no flexibility for an extension without additional charge even though I called ahead and politely requested a one day extension. I asked what one was supposed to do if traveling and the employee said "return it to the store there". I asked what to do if there was no store, to which the employee has no answer. The lack of accomodations on a $300 rental (again, one that didn't fit) was astonishing.
Do yourself a favor and just go to Jos. A. Bank. Even if you pay a little more (which I didn't) the service is better, the clothes are nicer, and they actually accomodate their customers. I certainly won't be visiting this store again if I...
