It’s really hard to skate here. We went on a Saturday afternoon. There were 3-4 birthday parties so there was a ton of really young kids. Many didn’t know how to skate so they were falling all over the place and you had to constantly dodge them. They would also enter the rink without any perception of the skaters cruising by so you had to try and dodge them while they entered and then promptly fell, or started going the wrong direction, or cut across the rink like they aren’t supposed to do.
There is basic skating etiquette but this rink doesn’t teach young skaters what it is and the employees don’t enforce it either.
Speaking of the employees, not a single one was friendly or personable. From the skate check to the rink staff, they all look like they hate their job.
Lastly, there is hardly any place to sit. So many adults come and just watch their kids, so any seating you need to put your skates on or take them off, or just to sit if you need a break from skating, hardly exists. We had to sit on the dirty floor.
So the bottom line is really that they allow too many people and too many birthday parties for skating to be enjoyable. It was so stressful trying not to run into the number of children splayed out on the floor along with hoping they didn’t run into me and cause me to fall.
Teach kids skating etiquette and enforce it. Then either limit the number of people you permit or provide walkers for young kids to help keep everyone safe and the...

Read moreOur family will never go back to Skate Moore. My autistic biracial son who is 12, was discriminated against because he wasn’t wearing skates and or skating. We have lived in Moore for 12 years, and have visited Skate Moore numerous times, even had multiple birthday parties there. The owner basically said that if he isn’t skating then he can’t be there….. I explained that he is autistic and has severe sensory issues, and his feet were hurting. I was with him or watching him the entire time, he wasn’t causing problems, or acting out. And my other 3 children were skating. The owner said that he had to stay with me at all times and that next time he can’t come if he isn’t skating. I asked if they make accommodations for children with disabilities, he said yes….. then I said well clearly you don’t and you’re discriminating him because he can’t skate. There were multiple kids in there without an adult with them who were wearing shoes and not skates. I said thank you, we will leave, and I will make an...
