I don't have the funds at the moment to get a new Mac, so I took my late 2006 MacBook to Bob and Chuck to see if there was any hope of getting it up and running - it was showing the dreaded question mark and folder at startup - if only until my ship came in. The Apple Store in OKC had been unable to give me the slightest bit of help or advice, so i threw myself at the mercy of The MacMan! First of all, Bob called me back just a short while after I left a message, and told me to come on in and he'd see what he could do. Really?! After 5:00 on a Friday?! I did just that: They're open until 6:00 during the week! Long story short is that Bob - and Chuck too - was knowable, friendly, funny, and helpful! Instead of dropping my MacBook off and keeping my fingers crossed, Bob opened it up right then and there and had it up and running perfectly in less than half an hour. He really went above and beyond the call of duty; he updated it and put a few extras on at no extra charge. I was so happy, I even bought some stuff I didn't really need! They were truly amazing, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a Mac repair. I expected to pay a lot more for my service, but it was more than reasonable, and I wouldn't hesitate to return. They have nice used Apple products as well. Do yourself and your pocketbook a favor and go see Bob and Chuck! You'll even have fun! It was a truly...
Read moreI have done a lot of business with these guys. Whenever I would get a MacBook or any apple product into the store I own I would take it to these guys or have one of the employees call them to see if they wanted to buy them for a discounted price. However I went into the store today to sell an apple watch and a MacBook air mid 2011. They simply said they don't take apple watches. Which is fine, I took it down the street to CDR electronics and Got 140 for it. But what upset me is when the gentlemen vegan to talk down to me about this MacBook air, and tell me that this laptop is worthless and he doesn't want it, and that I would be lucky to get 100 out of it. Instead of slamming my laptop up on top of the counter and talking down to me like I'm scum, he could have simply said he wasn't interested in it. Especially after selling thousands of dollars worth of items at a wholesale price out of my shop, these guys will no longer get recommendations from me nor will they get any of my apple products when they come out for sale. This will at least equate to 1 customer per week lost. I did sell this MacBook air today, and i got 200 from the mac man in okc. So this laptop had value to someone, also it has values to others on ebay who are buying them for around 300. I hate that I had to write a negative review, because I am the one person who likes to keep...
Read moreHave always had a great experience here! Very informative, honest couple of guys. Have taken 3 different Macs in (hand me downs from family members), all very old machines. Was able to get one backed up that had crashed for a mere $40 (another business I contacted wanted upwards of $250+ to recover the data off that Macbook!). I then had an iMac that kept giving me a kernel panic every time I booted it, though it would boot in safe mode. I didn't have an OS X installation CD to troubleshoot things myself, so I took it to the Mac Man and they discovered that my two toddlers had jammed a couple of DVDs in the drive, and that the hard drive itself was damaged from use/age. They had it back in perfect condition the very next day for a fraction of what I would have expected to pay elsewhere (and a third of what I would have been charged by Apple, plus an incredibly faster turnaround time!). And the last Mac I took in was another Macbook that was having issues charging, and had a bulging battery. One look at it and a quick diagnostic test later, I was told the battery just needed replaced. Purchased a new battery from them and was out the door in minutes, no other payment necessary. Have been fortunate to get free computers handed down to me, and am really thankful for this business for helping me keep the costs down in maintaining my ancient...
