Work with a client with autism and was told by an employee they are much too busy to chat and he should go to the office. We went in occasionally because he like(d) the store and was interested in what was new and coming. We would stay in the store for a maximum of five minutes. He would ask the same questions in various ways but he is 14 and has autism. But to say to us that they do not have five minutes to chat when there aren’t customers is insulting. One of his goals is to work on communication and socialization and many of the stores and their employees show patience and kindness. I know it is not the job of the employees to entertain someone who clearly is not a customer but I am just disgusted with the alacrity of asking someone to no longer come in the store. Read moreI wish I could give this Torrid a 0 star. This is definitely the worst store I have even visited. Size 14-30... Yeah if you want the extra big plus size (24-30) you have to shop online. The store is so super small and crowded you can't see in front of you. The shoes on display were everywhere and all over the ground, the clothing on the hangers were half off, or in the wrong size area, and there was no walking room between clearance and the fitting rooms.
