Have tried going here several times now with mixed experiences. First time, food wasn't the greatest, but my boyfriend really likes it so I figured I'd give it another shot. We sat at the bar and had a nice waitress and appetizers. Second experience, dinner and service were good as well. Third experience, service was rather slow. Our waitress didn't check on us much and food took a while to come out despite the place being practically dead. Today, horrendous service. Wanted to go here for dinner before our movie, which we've done numerous times before with no issues. Arrived and placed our food order about 10 minutes after we got there. Our wings came out (our usual appetizer) my boyfriend struggled to eat two as they were comparable to rubber. Our salads came out next. He loved his but mine barely had any dressing on it, which is fine but a little disappointing. Couldn't ask for more because she never came back to check in us, but I let it go because we were excited for our chicken. After over an hour since our initial arrival, we asked our waitress to just put our food in boxes when it was done so we could take it to go. She barely checked on us the entire time, looked directly at my boyfriend's empty glass and walked away. I understand it was busy and I'm not mad about the wait, thankfully the trailers saved us from missing the movie, but I am appalled by the service. I watched as she waited on other tables several times before returning to us. The least she could have done was drink refills and checking on the quality of the food. Put a bad taste on both of our mouths and if we ever go back it won't be for a long time. Plenty of other places to stop at for dinner before a movie instead. Highly upset by this experience. Update: Do not reach out to them when they ask! It's been over a month since I emailed them (still haven't gone back there to eat either that's for sure!) and nobody even bothered reaching back out. Read moreWe thought Sunday at 4 pm would be a good time to take the littles with us to a steak dinner for my birthday. Boy were we wrong. First they refused to seat us at a booth because we needed a high chair. They said it was a blanket policy - no highchairs at booths. So they sat us at a table in a high traffic area where the highchair was in everyone's way. My six month old got knocked into three times. Of course everyone was nice and apologized about it but we would have been so much more comfortable and out of the way if we could have gotten one of the many empty booths with plenty of room for a highchair. The service was extremely slow. Surprising for how empty the place was. It took our server over fifteen minutes to even greet us and give us menus. Then another fifteen minutes before she came back to take our order. After that we waited another almost 45 minutes to get our entrees. We asked about the appetizers we ordered. Our server forgot to put hem in. I asked about the baked potato I ordered. She said she would check with the kitchen. She returned to us much later, when we were just about finished, to tell me she was sorry about the potato, someone forgot to bring it out with our food and she would go get me one. I pointed out that we were pretty much done and I didn't need it at that point so she removed it from the bill. All in all a very long, very uncomfortable visit with a staff (from hostess to server to kitchen) that really didn't seem to know what they were doing. We will never be going back.
TLDR - Sat us in a high traffic area with a high chair where we were in everyone's way and refused to move us to a quieter, less busy area. Food and service took forever. We never got the appetizers and sides we ordered. Won't...
Read moreToday we came in for the first time ever. 4 adults and 3 kids. We were seated quickly even with the restrictions of placement for COVID. Our server Jessica was friendly and mostly helpful but walked away quickly while some of us were still talking to her..ok..that's fine. We ordered 2 margaritas, a strawberry 1 and a mango 1. When we got them...the entire bottom of the drink was salt...the same salt around the rim but I'm talking like and entire sugar packet worth. So our first sips from the straw were basically nothing but salt 🤢. My friend sent the strawberry one back and drank her water. I managed to drink the mango one as long as I pulled the straw away from the bottom. The majority of us got steak, lobster tail, and broccoli. 2 out of 3 lobster tails were good but mine was very tough and over done. 2 of the kids steaks were supposed to be med rare..but were very rare in the center, to the point where we had to give him half of our NY strips because we weren't comfortable with him eating the rare one. Also the majority of the sides, broccoli and sweet potatoes were cold when they came out...to the point the butter wouldnt even melt on them. I'm usually not one to complain but working in the food industry, I know how things run and for 103$ plus tip and another 80$+ and tip... it definitely was not worth it and we probably will not go to another Longhorns. Next time we will choose local. This review would honestly be a 1 star if I wasn't taking in consideration working out the kinks when opening...
