This is for Glamour Nails in the Moosic PA Shopping Plaza in PA. Wish I could give 0 stars! I have been a regular customer of this establishment for 3 years. I was always cooperative, friendly, tipped well (over $20 every time for a fill) and really enjoyed coming here. Unfortunately, that all changed last night. I called the salon at 6:00PM to ask if I could still come in for a fill. Their posted hours indicate that they close at 8:00PM. The woman on the phone was super nice and said yes, come in. I told her I would be there at 6:40PM. She said “not a problem”. I drove 30 minutes to Moosic and walked in at 6:35PM. The door was wide open. The lights were dimmed. Two woman were standing there and immediately looked annoyed at me as if I was inconveniencing them. The blonde (Star?) told me that they were slow that day so they would be closing early and would not provide me service. I explained that I was just on the phone with someone who said I could come and that I had driven 30 minutes to get there and now wasted gas. I only wanted a fill and they were supposed to close at 8:00PM! They dismissed me, blamed it on another worker who apparently already left the store. I asked them if they could make an “exception”, the blonde woman who sits at the last desk rudely said no and waived me out. I was not even asking for am exception since they were supposed to be open! This same lady also tried to lie and say the woman who spoke to me on the phone said “don’t come”. A shameful lie because the person on the phone was friendly and said “yes, no problem come”. It was the worst customer experience that I have ever had. Not only did they inconvenience me by making me drive all that way and closing early, but I felt badly, not just because of the experience, but because I have been a loyal and good customer and I was so easily dismissed. I will call the store and share this experience with the owner, but I am done with this establishment. Needless to say, I will be finding another nail salon to go, preferably some place that ensures every one of their employees appreciates their customers, doesn’t try to lie to them and won’t...
Read moreThe Shoppes at Montage is a strip mall, but more importantly it's a car-focused slab of asphalt and cement dropped on top of a hill. It's hostile to pedestrians, is at least 60% parking lot, and is largely unsafe for children. The owners of the mall need to reassess the needs of the public and take steps to meet those needs.
The businesses are varied and many are popular, but there are many vacant lots. The Shoppes itself caters primarily to big business chains, which hurts the community, and the physical layout is not very pedestrian friendly. The mall has been built with a car-centric design, with massive parking lots, a wide street, and hardly any traffic signals or crosswalks. Walking between businesses isn't terrible, but there are little protections for the pedestrian and no safety elements to help the pedestrian go from their car to a business. There is literally one (1) crosswalk in the entire complex, and it's there to connect two sidewalks between businesses. The Shoppes is practically inaccessible without a motor vehicle, and despite being across the street from 3 hotels lacks competent and safe pedestrian access. The singular sidewalk entrance is not only unfriendly to wheelchairs (the fault of the mountain itself, admittedly) but is entirely disconnected from the actual businesses. There isn't even a crosswalk to join the pedestrian entrance to the shops themselves, which hardly matters anyway given the lack of pedestrian access to the entrance.
In short, the Shoppes are incredibly poorly designed. They are well maintained, and the actual businesses present vary in quality, but the actual mall complex is unsafe, unfriendly, and built to service cars rather...

Just visited The Shoppes at Montage Mountain and was pleasantly surprised by the variety and atmosphere — it’s a solid stop if you’re nearby.
What stood out: • Plenty of stores to browse, from fashion and footwear to specialty shops. Great for picking up outfits, gifts, or just window shopping. • Lots of casual dining options — easy to grab lunch, coffee, or a quick snack while exploring. • The outdoor layout is clean, well-kept, and inviting, with benches and greenery that make it a pleasant place to walk around.
✅ Overall: A well-maintained, comfortable shopping destination with a nice mix of places to shop and eat. Would definitely stop by again when...
