āļøāļøāļø (Originally visited in 2024 ā great experience!) Update May 2025: Stopped in again during a during a business trip. I had eaten here a a years ago and remembered the food being really well-prepared and nicely presentedāso I was looking forward to a repeat experience.
I started off with the Lemongrass Arnold Palmer mocktail. It had some promising ingredientsālavender tea, local honey, lemonadeābut it ended up being just okay. Refreshing, yes, but not something Iād order again.
Next up was the Maryland crab soup. It came out hot and fast (props for that), and the flavor was solid. But the presentation was about as exciting as a Monday morning staff meeting. I asked for crackers and was told they didnāt have any, which was odd. They brought me something else as a substitute, but it didnāt quite hit the mark.
For my entrĆ©e, I opted for the Hawaiian Nourish Bowl with organic tofu. I appreciated the effort to pack in a lot of healthy elements including jasmine rice, purple sweet potato, pineapple, kale, BBQ chickpeas, pickled onions, and more. It was flavorful, no doubt. But once again, the presentation just felt uninspired. The portion size was modest, which I was fine with, but when youāre at a place like this, you kind of expect the food to look as good as it tastes.
Overall, it wasnāt a bad meal, just not as impressive as I remembered. I left a bit underwhelmed, especially given how strong my last visit had been. Iād probably give them another shot down the road, but next time, I might also check out some of the other dining options in the area.

(2024 visit review) I recently dined at Harvest Seasonal Grill during a business trip to Scranton, and it was an experience worth savoring. Despite the expected expense, the ambiance exuded elegance from the moment I walked in. The service was impeccable, with the waitress guiding me through their signature dishes and appetizers with genuine warmth and knowledge.
I opted for the Hummus appetizer, and I must say, the presentation alone was a feast for the eyes. But it was the explosion of flavors that truly impressed me. Each bite was a delightful journey of taste and texture.
For my main course, I indulged in the Bison meatloaf accompanied by assorted potatoes and vegetables. Once again, Harvest Seasonal Grill exceeded expectations both in presentation and taste. The attention to detail in every dish showcased their commitment to culinary excellence.
This was my first visit, and it certainly won't be my last. Harvest Seasonal Grill has consistently delivered outstanding dining experiences, making it a top choice whenever I find myself in Scranton. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a blend of sophistication and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHarvest, a charming farm-to-table gem nestled in the heart of Montage Mountain, delivered an exceptional experience during our visit. My wife and I were seated on the patio, surrounded by the golden hues of the setting sun and the rustling sounds of nature, creating the perfect atmosphere for a delightful culinary journey.
First up was the vibrant Seasonal Farm Greek Salad. A stunning medley of greens, tomatoes bursting with flavor, and the tangy sharpness of pickled onions, all topped with creamy goat cheese and crispy roasted chickpeas. Each bite danced between fresh and zesty, perfectly balancing textures and tastes. The salad was a fresh embrace of the seasonās best, a true showcase of Harvestās commitment to local produce.
The Chicken Noodle Soup was a warm, comforting bowl of nostalgia. Tender chicken mingled with thick, chewy egg noodles and a generous helping of vegetables ā from bright carrots to earthy celery. The broth had a depth that spoke of hours of simmering, capturing the essence of homemade goodness, while still elevating it with a gourmet touch. It was a simple dish, but its warmth and heartiness made it unforgettable.
Next came the Harvest Rice and Bean Bowl with added chicken, featuring a perfectly grilled chicken breast perched atop a vibrant mix of black beans, crunchy vegetables, and a smooth guacamole. The flavors here were bold, with each component bringing something different to the table ā the smoky char of the chicken, the creamy richness of the guac, and the slight crunch of house-made plantain chips. It felt like a celebration of wholesome ingredients, each handled with care and purpose.
Finally, the pièce de résistance: the Cedar-Plank Salmon. This dish was the epitome of refinement, with the salmon arriving on a smoking plank, its edges caramelized to perfection. The delicate fish flaked beautifully, its buttery texture enhanced by the subtle hints of cedar and citrus. Paired with a drizzle of a tangy aioli and a side of perfectly blanched green beans, this dish was an absolute standout, proving that simplicity in presentation can still deliver an unforgettable punch of flavor.
From start to finish, Harvest encapsulated everything we love about farm-to-table dining ā fresh ingredients, expertly crafted dishes, and a connection to the land that you can taste in every bite. Weāll surely be back to savor more of what this hidden treasure...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a fan of Doc's, my husband and I were eager to try the farm to table concept Harvest has to offer. When we walked in we were greeted by Ivy a sweet little hostess who made sure our table was suitable before walking away. Within a few minutes, Dan came over and explained the menu and talked about some of his favorite dishes. Former Doc's managers Lisa and Jim made sure to come say hello and they were both extremely excited about the new brand. After I ordered, Jim even suggested a wine that paired nicley with my entree.
As we sat and waited for our own food to come, we watched the carefully prepared plates go from the kitchen to the tables and the guests' reactions were pure joy.
For appetizers, I got a watermelon salad that tasted like summer and my husband got chicken skewers with an AMAZING homemade BBQ sauce! For our entrees, I got the highly recommended scallops with risotto and my husband had an Asian dish with shrimp. Although my husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. We agreed that the scallops were the BEST we ever had! Moreover, I'm not usually a dessert person, but in a moment of weakness I indulged! The chocolate and salted caramel parfait was nothing short of AMAZING!! After eating a three course meal, I was full, but not uncomfortably stuffed. The portions sizes were perfect!
Although we were loyal fans of Doc's, the transformation to Harvest has proven to be positive all the way around. We loved the menu selection, the dƩcor and even the new layout of the restaurant. We were happy to see that so many of the staff members had stayed with the company too. Angela, Chris, Kelly, Tony, James, Anya and even Keyshawn back on expo, all had a pep in their step and a smile that showed they were excited to be at work! It was evident that they all took pride in what they were serving.
Thanks Harvest Crew! I am so proud of you and I appreciate you ALL for making our 14th wedding anniversary memorable. See you again...
