Original: Looking to add furniture to a beach home on the Island. Beautiful store with a great selection, but way pricey as compared to a major northeast city. We were greeted with "free delivery for anything over $1000". Well, almost everything is over $1000, so what a bargain! I visited SD today, to buy an upholstered chair. There were 3 employees at the front desk when I went in. No one spoke to me. I was in the store for 20 minutes, and sat in several chairs. Still, no one offered to help me. I finally asked an office employee if there were any salespersons in the store. She sent out a page- no one came. She got me the information I needed. Furniture is much more expensive for similar at other stores. Surprisingly competitive on mattresses. Husband and I spent a lot of time making our selection. Unfortunately, it's too firm for me.
