Enjou Chocolate offers some of the best chocolate you’ll find. While the quality remains top-notch, it’s clear that the pricing has increased over time, making it more of a special occasion destination rather than an “everyday chocolate” spot.
One of the standout features of Enjou is their creativity. I’m convinced that if they have a mold for it, they can make just about anything! Over the years, I've seen their offerings evolve, from new items like chocolate coins in a treasure chest to exciting renovations. This keeps things fresh and intriguing for long-time customers.
For a unique twist, Enjou also offers ice cream, with flavors that are hard to find anywhere else. While the variety is impressive, the pricing here is definitely on the high end, even with the general rise in prices elsewhere.
A nice perk is their expanded retail presence, making their chocolate available in more locations throughout the area — including at General Coffee, where you can enjoy an Enjou chocolate mocha or hot cocoa. This helps spread the love and lets you enjoy their products outside the main shop.
There’s one standout staff member — an older woman with dirty blonde hair — who is always engaging and friendly. However, I’ve noticed that the rest of the staff could use some improvement in customer service.
One suggestion would be to see more discounts or sales on chocolates that are sitting around a little too long, like Valentine's Day treats that linger into March. Rather than remolding them, it would be great to see them offered at a discounted price to reduce waste and make it more accessible.
As a beloved local business, I’d love to see Enjou become a bit more community-oriented, perhaps with local events or collaborations. Overall, this place is still a go-to for high-quality chocolate, but with a few tweaks, it could truly elevate...
Read moreIf you're old enough or search the web, you'll find the legendary hot fudge was made and served at Gruning's ice cream parlour at a couple New Jersey locations. It was dark and chewy once the hot fundge hit the frozen ice cream. There was nothing like it, unless you made it at home using pure ingredients. Once Grunings went out of business, probably in the '70s or perhaps early '80s, searching for good hot fudge became a search for the "Holy Grail of Hot Fudge." It existed nowhere. I began to wonder if it was my imagination or whether there really existed in today's world the hot fudge to die for. Then, one day years ago, while window shopping in Morristown, I stumbled upon a chocolate shop whose name called to me: Enjou. Spending money in a chocolate shop never led to an argument. This story has a happy ending, and it's Enjou. There is no hot fudge in the world as good. My only comlaint is it doesn't come in a 1 pound jar, but perhaps that's a good thing. I'm down 40 pounds, and if Enjoy's fudge came in a 1 pound jar, I might be up 40. ...
Read moreMy mother had a friend who was visiting San Francisco from Japan. Her friend LOVES Enjou so, my mother went to the store and chose A LOT of treats and the very kind people at Enjou shipped it to my mother's friend who is across the country!!! She was going to ship it herself, but they took care of shipping the package for her. They wanted to ensure the chocolates stayed fresh and unmelted. The shipping charge was also very reasonable (it was overnighted). You don't see that kind of customer service nowadays. I also love coming here during the holidays to pick up gifts for my loved ones! I always get...
