I had a great experience at Braunschweiger and got a good vibe before I even came in! The day of, I called the business to inquire about watch repair, as my replica-1932 Stauer's leather watch band was frayed and needed a replacement. They answered immediately (no hold), and the guy seemed so friendly and happy to help on the phone. Later I found out he was the manager, which is so nice that he's answering calls! If I recall correctly, he is also the grandson of the original jeweler, as this is a family business with 2 locations (one in Mtown, one in New Providence NJ).

When I came in, Jasmine was so friendly and knowledgable! She immediately measured my watch, took the time to hear what I wanted, and brought out a great variety of leather watch strap, with an EXACT match! She also made me feel so welcome by answering my questions about the diamonds, the store's history, and their estate jewelry. I found the replacement very affordable at $25-$30, with no service fees - I was expecting to pay $50 so I was very glad! They also took Apple Pay which was a lifesaver!

I also can't help but mention their fantastic collection of vintage charms, rings, necklaces, and dazzling lab grown diamonds! They truly care about what they do and seems like they will take time to listen and find the right gift for your loved one. Now if Only I had someone to give a ring to! (LOL)

The whole experience took less than 10 minutes. And it put me in a great mood to see an upscale yet inviting family business in Morristown that is apparently thriving.

Their hours are great too, working until 6 and 7 most days! I'll be back if I need watch repair!

Braunschweiger Jewelers in Morristown is that “true” jewelry store that is so very rare to find these days. It is in its fifth generation, with extremely knowledgeable staff, and even its own jewelry studio & jewelers. Expert in modern fine jewelry as well as estate and vintage pieces.

I have purchased and had pieces repaired by Braunschweigers over the past 15 years, and they have always proven my trust in them.

Most recently, I had an extremely helpful consultation with Brian Smith there because I need to update my Personal Articles Policy regarding my existing pieces and some additional pieces I recently inherited. We discussed how jewelry is appraised, deciding whether to insure it, evaluating what pieces to keep in a safe, and more. He was clear and practically helpful about a wide range of types of pieces, the questions to ask, and how I could resolve these questions regarding what to do with pieces of jewelry that I had in the manner in which I felt most comfortable.
