Main Street Market — Local services in Mount Airy

We were drawn into Main Street Market this afternoon by the attractive window displays. All of the customers in the store were wearing face masks in compliance with the governor's orders. However, the woman working there (and presumably the person handling the most merchandise) couldn't be bothered to wear a mask. They even had signs posted which read "let's keep everyone safe," but apparently the woman working there did not agree with that sentiment. This store is located right in the heart of the city of Mt. Airy. The staff was very personable, helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. She even made a call to one of her dealers to assist us in making an offer on a 1920’s sled for our mountain home in Virginia. We ended up purchasing the sled along with several other items. The selection of items to purchase is very nice. I am giving a rating of one star because when I was paying for my purchases; vintage Christmas Ornaments and Christmas skiers I asked to please double bag because I am traveling. The lady bagging my items said, You don’t need to have it double bagged. I kindly asked again. She double bagged my purchases, tossed them on the counter. She did not thank me.
