Mayberry on Main — Local services in Mount Airy

My sisters and I were in this store on 6/30/22. We were so excited to find a store with great T shirts and souvenirs to remember our trip to Mayberry. While looking around the store, we could overhear the lady at the counter being very rude to the other customers. We put our selections back because we didn't want to do business in such an unfriendly store. It upset us because the selection of merchandise was terrific. We asked at the welcome center in town if there were any other shops that would have great souvenirs because the lady working here was being rude to the customers inside the store. After looking around the town, we ended up going back to this store about an hour later because it had the things we wanted. This time, the lady had a different attitude. I don't know what changed in that time span, but I'm certainly glad her customer service skills improved. I gave 2 stars based on her rudeness. I would give 5 stars, otherwise.

May 2020, Mother's Day. The Caucasian owner or worker, on that day, let the door slam shut on my face as she rudely dismissed me as I was asking her a question. It was about 11 AM, she was opening the store. The week prior to this incident, I had spent $100 in her store. I never returned. She removed my first post of May 2020 where I posted her rude behavior. Well, I would like the public to know. To this day, I have never return there again, even though I pass by this store...

Stopped in here after i visited the Andy Griffith Museum for a souvenir of my visit to Mayberry and they didn't disappoint at all. Locally owned by a beautiful couple that is very respectful & knowledgeable of the area. A huge wall of hot sauces and all kinds of souvenirs for great prices. Thoroughly enjoyed this souvenir shop. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone and everyone who is visiting from out of town. Loved it and would definitely...
