Ollie's Bargain Outlet is a more of an upgraded version of what Roses Department Store used to be. I can't speak for the other chains that are not in Mount Airy in Winston-Salem North Carolina, the both of those locations are almost identical and everything they carry and the prices vary just a little bit depending on what you go in there for.
How they advise anyone the needs brake fluid to start buying it there, they're almost half price on brake fluid because I just found this out yesterday after I spent $8 for a 16 oz and they have there for like four.
The bathrooms leave a list to be desired, the one in Mount Airy is try to clean most of the time could use some scrubbing or maybe repainting but the one in Winston-Salem really needs an upgrade on their doors entryways.
The only major drawback that I see to Hell Ollie's is set up, is the amount of items that are just looks like they're almost just stashed in the always with no real organization and is sometimes difficult to navigate in between the items and or Isles.
The staff and both locations are always friendly the biggest drawback to Ollie's, are the registers encounters, they have tremendously outdated equipment and very small counters that really should be upgraded and enlarged.
But overall isn't a bad discount store, they do have some tools, some gloves, that are somewhat cheaper you know what you want to get. If you do a lot of roofing or carpentry work, they have very cheap gloves that have a very rough textured on the outside that made for a great trip but I would advise buying several pairs at once cuz sometimes they don't have a lot of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExtremely busy. The set up for COVID-19 was very inadequate and too small to handle the business that this store carries on a daily basis. When one walks in to the right of the entrance you are greeted by friendly staff. The entrance into the area through there is narrow because you must watch the other parties in line right to your left, it is not 6 ft. apart. I know, as I encountered this on my way in the store myself. A lady paying for her items on the left by the cashier station when I walked in she was finished and walking out with her cart to the right, I had a cart moving mine in the narrow area to the left of the store. When we both entered that narrow area our arms hit one another while I was trying to push my cart into the narrow space inside the store while she was exiting the narrow way around the ābins of items for saleā it was impossible for us not to interlock at some point. The manager needs to look into this situation as soon as possible due to Christmas and this COVID-19 getting worse in this area. I, for one, would remove those ābinsā at the front of the store. Everyone has already shopped anyway, and it doesnāt seem necessary to have those bins, cardboards with items for sale there. That would eliminate the problem with ātouchingā others if and when they enter and exit that first cashier station to the immediate left as you walk through that narrow entrance. Thank You...
