Seems like a cool place to hang out, but they are a brick and mortar scalper. Tried to sell me a booster box of Lorcana for $350 (MSRP is $145). I understand marking up and paying more than MSRP, but I am not looking for be ripped off by what would be my LGS.
I could pay an E-Bay scalper $289.00 + 8 dollars for shipping and save $50 bucks.
Edit for owners response: Also they wanted to sell $150 for a Trove which is on TCGPlayer for $108 from Team Harmony.
Market price makes sense for singles, but for a new box of cards, I'll just wait for Target to get restocked instead of the price gouging that is out there today by scalpers like you. I have young daughters and would love for them to play MTG with me, but this is more their style thematically.
I can only deduce that you have no interest in having fair prices and something just being out of stock. I can understand a 10-20% mark up which I would gladly pay. Or a limit to how much one could buy if you were worried about scalpers. I paid slightly more for a board game out of your store earlier this year because I believe in supporting my LGS.
Enjoy trying to gouge people whenever possible. Best of luck.
Last edit: To anyone who reads this, make sure to switch back and forth so you get the full dialog.
If you go the the sold you can see the prices on Ebay or TCG. average price is $128 on TCG at the time of this writing. Due to the market volatility of the scalper's market.
At the end of the day, anyone selling 100-300% over MSRP due to a market quick shortage is a scalper. You are apart of that group because it is a scalper's market right now.
I will never go back to your store, you never want me back either. I will wait two weeks and go support some big box retailer or drive out to Maitland to support Haven or CoolStuff.
We're even. Best of luck...
Read moreI want to shop here and like this store. However, the employee/s are NEVER ON TIME. I'll sit there until 12:15, when they say they open at noon, but the doors are locked. That's awful for business. This has been the fifth and final time for me. I have a busy schedule, and my lunch is the only time I can visit. Perhaps you should change your opening time on Google to accommodate your employees' poor attendance issue.
UPDATE: The situation has only gotten worse. Now, they’ve decided it’s acceptable to charge customers $5 just to use their tables. Want to bring your family for a casual game of Pokémon, Magic, or D&D? That'll be $5 per person.
Meanwhile, other local game stores at least offer value in return—whether it’s a couple of slices of pizza, entry into a raffle for packs and prizes, or simply allowing customers to play for free if they choose. Here, it’s just a mandatory fee with no added benefit.
Between the unreliable store hours and this new charge, it’s clear they don’t prioritize their...
Read moreI go to game stores all over central Florida and this one is the best by far. I love the variety of what is offered and have a good assortment of D&D items!!! That’s the most important thing to me. I love that they sell miniatures individually so you can actually see them and pick and choose you are looking for. I guess the only thing I would say I wish they did better is I wish they would continue to add stock or pre-painted miniature and icon of the realms minis. I would love to see more and more open to look through in the front glass counter. Please think about that as...
