TJ Maxx at Providence Marketplace – A Shopper’s Delight
If you're in Mount Juliet and looking for a great place to shop, TJ Maxx at Providence Marketplace is an excellent choice. This store is conveniently located within the Providence shopping center, which offers a wide selection of retail stores, restaurants, and entertainment options. One of the standout features of this location is its spacious parking lot and clean, well-organized interior, making for a pleasant and hassle-free shopping experience.
Shopping Experience & Store Layout One thing I really appreciate about this TJ Maxx is that it shares the same space with HomeGoods. This makes shopping even more enjoyable, as you can easily browse through both stores in one trip. Whether you’re looking for clothing, accessories, home decor, or kitchen essentials, you’ll find plenty of options here.
On my recent visit, I noticed that the store was well-stocked with a great variety of items. Even though there were a lot of shoppers, the store’s layout prevented it from feeling overcrowded or chaotic. I was able to move through the aisles comfortably and enjoy browsing at my own pace.
One interesting thing I noticed was the huge selection of luggage. There were suitcases and travel bags placed in multiple sections of the store, which seemed a little unusual. It almost felt like they had an excess of inventory and decided to display them wherever they could. It wasn’t a big deal, just something that stood out to me.
Product Selection & Pricing TJ Maxx is known for offering great deals on brand-name items at discounted prices, and this location is no exception. There was an impressive variety of clothing, shoes, beauty products, and home goods to choose from. More inventory means more choices, so I was happy to see that they had restocked with fresh items.
However, one downside was the lack of a “Runway” section. Some TJ Maxx locations carry high-end designer brands in a special section called “The Runway,” but unfortunately, this store doesn’t have it. If you’re looking for luxury brands, you might be a bit disappointed. That said, the store still offers a fantastic selection of mid-range fashion and home goods at affordable prices.
Checkout & Customer Service Since I visited near closing time, I expected a long line at checkout, but surprisingly, there was no wait at all. The cashiers were efficient and friendly, making the checkout process smooth and quick.
Final Thoughts Overall, this TJ Maxx at Providence Marketplace is a great place to shop. It has a clean and spacious environment, a wide variety of products, and reasonable prices. While I do wish they had a Runway section, the shopping experience was still fantastic. If you’re in the Mount Juliet area, this is definitely one of the best TJ Maxx...
Read moreI’ve shopped at this TJ Maxx location many times and usually enjoy the experience. They typically have a good selection of inventory, and even though the lines can get long, they tend to move quickly. However, my experience today was extremely disappointing and easily the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered.
While shopping, my daughter found a stuffed witch that she fell in love with. It didn’t have a price tag, and the yarn braids in its hair had come undone a bit. Additionally, the hands were supposed to be stitched together but had come apart. Even with the flaws, my daughter really wanted it, so we took it to the register.
The cashier, who was friendly and professional, asked for a price check. Monique, the associate who assisted, returned with a sticker reading $39.99. When I asked how she determined that price, she told me it was based on a similar item. I politely asked to see the comparable item. Instead of explaining or helping further, she rolled her eyes and said, “You can go back and look if you want.” I told her I would like to see it, and she reluctantly led me to a standing porcelain witch.
I expressed my concern that the porcelain witch wasn’t comparable to the stuffed one we had, especially given that ours was damaged. Monique shrugged and said, “It is what it is—take it or leave it.” Her dismissive attitude was shocking, and it felt like she had no interest in assisting me.
The original cashier, clearly uncomfortable with the situation, apologized repeatedly and said she was embarrassed by Monique’s behavior. I asked to speak with a manager, but Monique refused to step away while I explained what had happened. She even laughed at me during the conversation, insisting that she “didn’t treat me no type of way,” and rolled her eyes again right in front of the manager.
Although the manager apologized, they didn’t address Monique’s behavior in a meaningful way, which made the entire experience even worse. I left feeling disrespected...

Stopped into the TJ Maxx & HomeGoods combo spot at Mirrorview, and as usual, I had a great time just browsing and picking up some solid finds. This place is a vibe. Whether you're on a mission or just letting the store inspire you.
I grabbed a beautiful alabaster lamp that gives my room a warm, mellow glow, a slick Tommy Bahama metal fan that keeps me cool with style, plus some rugs, wall décor, and a few other pieces to tie everything together. The selection is always full of hidden gems and the prices make it hard not to grab a few extra things.
I really enjoy coming here just to look around. The mix of practical stuff, cozy home touches, and brand-name surprises keeps it interesting every time. It's one of those stores where even if you don’t need anything, you end up finding something that makes your space feel better.
Highly recommend if you’re looking to elevate your home without...
