Upon my dad’s passing, I embarked on the arduous task of collecting pictures for his service. We only had physical copies of some important older pictures, so I began researching the best way to digitize them as sitting around scanning was not something I had the capacity to do.
A random, years old Reddit post helped me discover Heirloom. My dad is a veteran, and this is a veteran owned business. I emailed ahead of time, to make sure turnaround times would work for our plans. They offered to rush processing, which totally was not needed, but meant the world to me. This was the business I wanted to support, and I have zero regrets about that choice.
We gathered pictures and sent them on. One magical day last week I got an email that my photos were ready. I don’t truly know what they do with the photos, but they somehow look even better than the original photos. I now have a copy of my favorite Polaroid photo of my dad and I on his motorcycle (that is at least 35 years old), clearly, on my phone and don’t have to worry about the original being lost.
I can’t recommend this company enough. Once I find my 6th grade graduation video, I hope to have that digitized as well. Today, our photos were delivered back home, safe and sound with a hand signed card by 6 employees. It truly is the little things that make the...
Read moreI had a Cassett tape that was re-recorded from the early 1960's of my grandfather talking about the beginning of Dale Pentecost Church. He was born in 1891 and I was about 11 years old when he died so I knew him and remember him well in church and at home. Hearing his voice now brought back so many wonderful memories of him and what he meant to me and it was so emotional the way he talked and described all the events leading up to receiving the Holy Ghost and Pentecost in 1919 when a bunch of believers got together and purchased the ground where the church still stands today with regular service meetings just as it was in the beginning. Having this old brittle cassette tape digitalized was amazing how good it sounded. No more cracking and popping noises filled with static to get in the way of clearly hearing every word as if I were standing next to him. This is a true treasure brought back to life perfectly. Thank you for this wonderful blessing and I am grateful for all the wonderful staff at Heirloom that walked me through some computer steps to get to hear it from the cloud and share with my church family and my children. Such a good group of caring people who all signed a card thanking me for my business but it is I who is thankful for them. God bless you all,...
Read moreFor starters, there is no finer organization or group of people than the wonderful folks at Heirloom. An SDVOSB (Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business) as well as an employer of folks with specials needs, John and Geoff (cofounders) are some of the kindest, most hard working individuals I've ever had the pleasure of working with. No matter your A/V formats or needs, they've got you covered.
I was tasked with finding an A/V duplication services company to take some old family history cassette tapes to get them digitized. I reached out to their team at the 11th hour just before Christmas in hopes of providing a gift my family would never forget...
John and Geoff didn't disappoint in the least. They got a handful of the tapes completed in time to have something to give on Christmas Day. A task I couldn't be more grateful for.
To be able to give my dad and brothers the gift of hearing my late grandfather's voice (after 40 years, at that) was a priceless, teary-eyed experience I will never forget.
John and Geoff will have mine and my family's business for life. Grateful to have such a wonderful organization right here in Charleston, SC (specifically Mt. Pleasant). Give them a shout and know you won't be disapointed...
