No amenities or ANYTHING for at least 7 blocks. All businesses and apartments. I have yet to even find a nearby 7-11. If you read this and have a store near this location, us pedestrian commuters would love some coffee and snacks. If it's raining, there is a couple senior/handicap spots and ONE going south, 3 going north. Be sure to scan your card or buy a ticket before u get on and, BE SURE TO SCAN CARD AGAIN AT DESTINATION OR U WILL BE CHARGED THE FEE FOR THE ENTIRE ROUTE!!

Good train station. You can utilize to get to Stanford campus from SF. I must warn about the train timings and once when I was returning from Stanford campus someone had parked the car on the tracks. It almost took an hour to get the car off the track but the train staff apologized profusely from the bottom of their heart

I think that the Caltrain system is superb! It stretches from San Jose all the way to San Francisco. The stations are for the most part clean and modern and in great convenient locations in each neighbourhood. Mountain View’s station is a nice one and it’s located next to the trendy Castro Street. Excellent! 👍😎

Nearly stabbed by a guy I never seen before for reason I still don't know because he spoke Spanish only, called police who showed up after I chased him off but due to the broken bottle (thrown at me stricking me in the back) the tall can of beer that struck me in the chest & large sized rocks from the train tracks they ran the guy down & arrested him. He was out two days later & I ran into him at the Lawrence station idk if he was looking for me or just crossed paths? Security at mountain view went to lunch moments before the attack took place so good thing I'm able to protect myself because this went on for nearly 15-20 minutes with no assistance...

Strategically placed at the end of Castro street (downtown of MV), most Cal trains stop at this station and it also has other forms of transport like VTA light rail & local Buses/Shuttles, taxi hauling etc.

Limited Paid parking, bike racks and you will need time to figure on how to get to your next destination, so plan for...
