Classy experience and amazing service keeping the customer at the center of it all essentially sums up every single trip to Dandies Barber shop.

Right from the get go from where you got a very warm welcome, directions to grab some water, sodas etc and a nice spot to rest one of those waiting room couches it definitely sets up the stage for an amazing experience.

Couple of my visits were about “The Royal Classic Experience” and boy o boy it just keeps getting better every bit. Mireya idea a fantastic job and definitely knows her skill/art pretty amazingly well. She as well makes sure to strike a good conversation and calms you down for a lengthy session that is to follow that includes a nice haircut , a fantastic shoulder, head massage along with a straight razor beard work and a hot towel and eyes pack while you enjoy all of the aforementioned. For the whisky lovers out there , you do get taken care of on that front as well during this experience. Once again a massive shoutout to Mireya and the effort, care and execution that she puts in her works that is so genuine and infectious for everybody on her team to follow.

My most recent experience was with Alex and it was a session for a Professional Haircut. He can definitely be called the master of his art as he takes time to understand your needs and then orchestrates the execution to perfection. Doesn’t rush at all and makes it look perfect and to your heart’s content. Very dedicated and very professional in his work ethic and the end result speaks volumes. Alex, one of the best one’s out there!!

This last part of the review talks about humility , about helping the needful and yet doing it with such a calm demeanor where your respect for a business like this grows exponentially wild. While I was getting a haircut we saw a man who got in the shop and started interacting with my barber around his need to get a haircut though he didn’t happen to have any money on him.

He was directed to go to the waiting room where Money( the owner of the shop and the genius behind the whole Dandies Barber shop execution) gladly steps in, welcomes the person to the shop and gets him a haircut that he needed without ever bringing up the amount that the person owed for the cut. This was awe inspiring and amazing to watch that during this tough times a small to medium business like Dandies does so much for the society and for the people who truly are in need of help.

My hats off to this business and every single barber out that runs the show under the Dandies banner.

I was really hoping to enjoy my experience at this barbershop especially with all the high reviews, but I got one on the worst haircuts ever and shocked and extremely unsatisfied with the results. I travel for work so I’ve gotten many of the same haircuts with different barbers with no complaints at all, and I think what I’m asking for is pretty simple.

So when I arrived, I showed the barber pictures of my previous haircuts and had very specific instructions of a medium-high skin fade but to leave “weighted corners” and for it to be more square and boxy, basically to avoid looking like an egg, literally my words. The fade itself was fine, no complaints, however as you can see in the photos the sides are so extremely asymmetrical. One side is kind of squared but still too high and the other side he completed messed up…Also the length on top is so inconsistent, about 75% of the top is 2” in length (which I asked for), the other 25% was obvious missed and about 2.5”. It was more obvious when I got home and showered and felt the length for myself. Might not seem like a lot but in person it looks horrendous. The entire haircut took about an hour, which is longer than I’m use to but ok with it if the results are good, but I think the barber knew he messed up and tried to fix what he could. Overall, when he showed me, I had no words and didn’t even say anything because I just wanted to get out of there asap. I don’t think there was anything that couldn’t be done to save it due to how much he cut off and ignored my request for the weighed corners.

I know my experience does not mean this barbershop is not worth checking out, however, at least for me it’s hard to even want to give this place a second try with another barber. Especially since I showed him photos & videos of exactly what I wanted and he verbalized all was ok. Worst haircut we've ever had. Here is why:

My son and I both had haircuts at the same time, Friday evening.

Mireya cut my son's hair and shaved part of his right eye brow!!! I don't mean that intentional brow cut some people do. I mean an awful amateur mistake.

Jimmy cut my hair so uneven that I look two different persons depending on the side. The fade is okay, but the edges are awfully off, I mean 1/2 inch off. The length on the top is ridiculously off, around 1 1/2 inches (1/2 inch on the left, 2 inches on the right).

My two cents: it doesn't matter how nice you are. You are actually real nice people! If you are amateur, you are amateur. Work at sports clips for a few months, gain some experience and then you could maybe charge people 50 dollars for a haircut one day.

I just talked to the shop owner and really considered removing this review. Although having part of my son's brow chopped off is just way too awful, plus what they did with my own hair. I think this review will give the shop the opportunity to reflect about what they are doing. I had part of my eyebrow slightly removed by a mistake like this in the past, but it was in a cheap ghetto barber shop in South America. Dandies did worse with my son.

Dandies, don't let this review hurt your business. Use it to leverage and improve. You have passion for what you do. You are really nice people and I really hope you take my comments to make what you do even better.
