I never knew you could purchase a room with a king bed and then be offered two twin beds pushed together.. cool we will just… see who falls asleep in the crevice first? —skip it.. staying here that is. Our last visit definitely changed my mind and went from a pretty positive experience to this one & left my husband and I pretty certain we wouldn’t stay here again. (We have stayed here twice together for a week at a time and he’s stayed a handful of times by himself in the past.) The management does seem to follow the staff around a lot and nit pick.. it’s awkward but it’s more awkward feeling like you’re being watched by this authoritarian lol I don’t hate that they want to clean the rooms every day but I didn’t like getting chastised for my exhaustion … upon arrival across country I didn’t wake up early the next day. My head was pounding and I slept… until I was woken up by the cleaning crew who got to have the unfortunate full view of my nakedness. I didn’t get up to put a do not disturb sign on after she hurried away (the other side of the DND sign asks for maid service and I figured it was a mistake when they came in… well.. two hours later while I nurse my head, surprise, it’s me half naked in bed again and telling them sorry. An hour after the last “cleaning break in” I went outside to the car and when I tried returning to the room .. the keycard didn’t work and I was made to feel badly because I wasn’t out of the room ( which we kept very tidy all week) for them to clean it while I was sick… I mean they didn’t know about my head or my travel distance but it felt unnecessarily like I was “being bad.” the staff gets very annoyed when you need new keycards =[ I kept mine away from phones/electronic/magnets but needed a new one almost twice a day (husband too) for a week.. maybe it’s just the rooms door? (114 I think? The one behind the vending machine ) ? Our shower fan didn’t work at all. This shower/bathroom was different than the ones my husband and I had in our rooms before. There was no lip to the tub/no glass door/ no window and so the entire open tiled bathroom would get soaking wet and was insanely dangerous. We almost slipped many times. The moisture builds up in there FAST. I should’ve said something on day 2 (we checked in late on day 1 so I’m not bothering staff at midnight with a full parking lot to switch rooms)—- but on day 2 my head hurt so bad and I already had all of these uncomfortable experiences with the staff I felt too shy to switch rooms… with the fan not working and our… pushed together twin beds.. I should’ve spoken up. Due to my longer stay I had mingled with another guest who asked me how I felt about where we were staying (we both happened upon each other down the road sitting on a bench because there is nowhere outside for guests to sit) and he actually had our room with the two twin beds smooshed together and switched because he was brave enough to call them out for it… he also mentioned how the authoritarian manager made him feel watched constantly lol, and how his wife who was a ln OVERNIGHT travel nurse (heck yeah good for her, what a valuable job that services communities) and he had to go in hard and bargain to not have her woken up as she came back from work to sleep by the cleaning crew to clean their room at an off time. The first time we stayed, we called for a late check out the day we were heading home to Maine, which they said okie dokie to. We got a phone call afterwards asking why we were still there but the hotel alarm clock said we still had ten more minutes.. which I told them.. They were pretty mean about it on the phone but the manager came and chatted after and it’s what made me want to leave a nice review.. After this last visit the room clock was like 8 hours off and I couldn’t figure out how to change it…So don’t rely on the room clocks during maid service or check out.. you’ll get a verbal spanking The tiny towels they give you are few and many come stained- but a sign in the room says if you leave stained towels you’ll be charged.

I had a laugh when I read that this place describes itself as a "boutique hotel". This is an old fashioned, "park in front of your door" motel. Nothing more. It should be seen as a direct competitor to places like Red Roof Inn or Motel 6. The building is ancient and has undergone one of those weird remodels unique to old motels in coastal California. The WIFI was useless. Constantly being cut off and prompted to re-enter the code. Often the screen where you enter the code would not load. When it briefly worked it was too slow to be useful. I finally gave up and walked to Starbucks. The "breakfast" offering answers the question "What is the absolute least we could do and still claim to offer breakfast?" Toast, yogurt, cereal, coffee from a weird machine that tasted bad and a sign warning you not to take too much food. I will say that the entire property was spectacularly clean. From the parking lot to the room to the breakfast room, not a molecule of dirt was seen. I checked in late and left early. It was quiet, the bed was comfortable, it was fine. I don't even know how much my company paid when they booked me here but this should be a sub $100 motel.

Terrible service. The front desk is closed at 9pm and reopen at 6:30am. Nobody can provide any service or help during the closed hours. Never heard anything like that. No elevators. Have to move the heavy luggages or baby trollers by hands. Bad breakfast. Locates on the Main Street. Quite noisy. No grocery store or restaurant nearby at all. Booked 2 nights and request check out one day earlier. No refund. Will never comeback again Definitely should avoid for everyone The hotel lady found me and talked to me quite long. I had no idea how she could remember each guest in each room. . . Anyway, a few corrections below: I didn’t see anyone on the front desk. However, I was told if ringing the bell, someone could help. Never tried. It could be true. I didn’t notice any grocery or restaurant by walking. However, I was told walking a few more blocks, there were more. Again, it could be true. I should walk more . . . I was told “no elevator “ was posted online. It could be true. However, it is really very rare in US. this is silicon valley. For breakfast, it is continental. Picture is posted for reference. Completely personal discretion.

The room was very nice and felt like the went out of their way to make you feel like you were staying at a much higher quality establishment. It felt like we were on our way to having a great stay at this budget motel. We went or a nice walk around downtown Mountain View, had a fairly decent dinner at a taco shop and came back to relax and what not.... after we were no longer fit to be seen we hear some noise at the door. Someone was continuously attempting to open the door. Even after telling them they had the wrong room, the continued to try and try. This went on for about 10 more minutes, even after telling them repeatedly that they had the wrong room. I chalked it up to the person being inebriated or mentally unsound. They eventually stopped and brought the girl from downstairs at the desk. She then started trying to open the door too. I was a little peaved at this point and I once again said that the room was occupied. They both went away and nor 5 minutes later the employee returned and knocked on the door. I opened it and she jumped back and seemed frightened then began grilling me as to how I got in there and who I was. She had just rented the room to us not 3 hours previously but failed to remember that. When we first went to check in she also seemed really annoyed that she had to do work and it was a very uncomfortable transaction. Further, the was an over abundance of negativity all about the premises. Signs dictating behavior, lists of what you will be charged if you damage or remove items from the rooms. The stay quickly turned into an uncomfortable evening which we couldn't wait to leave.

I would not stay here again. The staff are suspicious, rude, seemingly quick to point fingers, forgetful to the point of interrupting a romantic evening, invasive and non-apologetic. The attempted double booking and then to suggest that we were somehow not supposed to be there.... I have never had that happen ever and I have stay in a lot of hotels in all sorts of neighborhoods around the country and the world.

Just save your money or pay the little bit extra for one of better hotels in the area. I promise that nothing is worth less that having your nice getaway ruined by unscrupulous...

1.1st day, upon arrival , we arrived at earlier than 3pm, we were asking if she could wave the early check in fee and she spoke to us with an angry tone, giving us her two cents on how booking with the 3rd party disqualifies chances of waving the fee. She kept going on and on about it all throughout the check- in process. That's the kind of "Welcome" we experienced from this place. I went to the office the following morning (around 6AM) as we needed cups for the coffee and she yelled at me for coming in before 0630am which is the time the office opens...she argued that cups should've already been readily available in the room. Yes there were cups alright and we already used them the same day we arrived. They provided 2 paper cups for 4 coffee pods (Math seems to be lost in here)...anyway, a different lady came out of the office handing me my cups, also ranting that I should not knock before 0630AM... quite a "great" way to start the morning at this place. We're shower people and this place installed a great shower head, it has just enough pressure that taking showers were the only thing that made me give the room 3 stars...the shower gel was diluted and the hair conditioner was so watered down that you need a cup to catch it. They topped it up with the undiluted kind after I left a note asking for refills. Breakfast consists of 2 kinds of bread, assorted regular sized muffins, yogurt, apples, 2 kinds of cereals, milk and two kinds of beverage machines, one dispenses coffee, chocolate and hot water while the other gives out 2 kinds of orange juice. The yogurt is not provided every day. Quality of room cleaning varies, we stayed in here for 5 days, there were days where our recyclables were left in the room... I have to say that they're pretty consistent about giving us 2 paper cups and 4 coffee pods, the only time they matched the qty of cups to the pods was the night before our departure. We're big on Customer Service, this isn't the place that offers it. We were not treated with respect , we did not feel welcome at all. Perhaps they look at...
