Disappointed âšď¸. Apple agent sent me to this place to get help and I donât Have to pay anything. Usually, when anyone buys a new iPhone or new laptop from apple they will help you to restore the old one to a new one for free. I came here earlier and had wait over my appointment time, which was okay. He kept asking me do I have an appointment. I said âyesâ and he still asked me again. I explained to him why I am here and apple agent sent me here to get help from Mobile Kangaroo. Ali the technician here told me I need to pay him because my old laptop is out of warranty, even though my new laptop is in warranty đI said â thatâs not what I heard from apple agent sent me hereâ. And I responded to him, âthen I donât need to do that, how about can you help me to erase all content and setting, so I will restore at home myself?â So, He give me a lecture of how to do it myself without giving any information specific. Great! I cant stand there anymore listening to his lecture that is not helping me anything, and I told him I am going to apple store instead. He said âokayâ Soon I walked out, he sent a message said â Hi Loan , Mobile Kangaroo here. Looks like we missed you today for your appointment! Please use the link below to rescheduleâ I walked back inside and asked him, I was here early and you sent me a message said I didnât show up. He tried to made up something, and ask If you want to see the appointment on his system? He surprise when i said yes. He showed me quickly and I saw the appointment marked âno showâ I asked âwhy?â I was here. He said âjust a reminder for reschedulingâ. He liked to lecture me. He asked me pay money even though I am not supposed to pay anything. Use your time and your moneys to someplace else instead. I did reported to apple about this issue.    Read morePredatory business, I came here hoping to fix the two key caps that broke off my Mac keyboard. I was told I had to pay $35 for diagnostics and sign a waiver. I was already suspicious but decided to go through with it. I was not told what the diagnostics entailed and was not warned to back up my machine. I did not think anything could go so terribly wrong since I believed it was just my keyboard that would be inspected. However, when I got my machine back it no longer started up, I was shocked, I had never had this issue before, but the guy denied responsibility. He told me when he tried to run the diagnostic software my computer wouldnât start up, but that it wasnât their responsibility because I had signed a waiver. I was very frustrated by that point and ended up taking my machine home to try to recover my data myself. I however found that my disk was no longer mountable and could not repair it nor extract data from it without paying more money for software. I found it weird that he just walked out of the store in the middle of the conversation. I assumed it must have been 6 by that time and I didn't want to hold him after 6 and so ended the conversation. When I got back into my car, it was still 5:57.
Now that, I find to be rude. I was there before closing time, I just wanted to have a brief conversation about pricing, how long it would take, warranty etc, but he seemed to be more interested in closing the store 5 mins before closing time than talking to a customer. I would understand if he would have said that he needs to close it early etc. But just walking out if the store in middle of conversation, before closing time.
