So, I occasionally come here because the food is good. I get the same thing every time, whether its lunch or dinner, Chicken Teriyaki Entree. I always get it with no onions and extra green bell peppers. With the servers, it's usually a hit or miss over whether or not they have issues with the bell peppers (why, I have no idea).
I decided to treat my fiance and I to one last meal there as we are moving. I ordered the same thing I always do. The waitress says that it doesn't come with peppers. I tell her that I've been coming to this restaurant for 3 years and I've always gotten it with peppers. She tells me I'm wrong, they don't have any peppers.
I asked if they changed their menu and she responded with the same thing, they've never had peppers. So my meal consists of chicken and broccoli. My fiance had also ordered a hibachi steak entree with his steak done medium rare. It was well done instead, tough and dry.
The table next to us ordered some Udon ramen and, sure enough, there were green bell peppers in there.
Overall, the service was a step away from horrible. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks, when it wasn't even busy, and 20 minutes to get a to-go box and the check.
I never do reviews for anything but this really frustrated me. This place has really good food but don't try to change it if there's something you don't like about it because they will essentially mess up your whole dish. I hate that I came to this place so often and had to always argue with waitresses over whether or not they had green peppers, which ended up coming on my entree anyway.
After this time, I won't be coming back. I work in food, I understand how things work, but if your servers don't know the menu or what the kitchen does/doesn't have, then I can only imagine that my next visit will be just as unsatisfying as...
Read moreI chose to come here for Father's Day lunch. It's been over 2 years since we were here last, and we were seated at the hibachi grill with other families as is customary. However, we didn't do a lot of talking with the rest (which I would have liked). I think the pandemic is still keeping people at a distance and that is ok.
Our orders were taken. Soon enough our chef arrived with all the supplies for our table and then the show began: Spinning and throwing his fork and spatula, big flames from grill to vent hood, little flaming onion rings, and other tricks which are pretty standard fare for hibachi grills. One thing the chef didn't do was attempt to throw food in our mouth... which was a welcome loss to the performance, in my family's opinion. A bit surprising, our chef was a more low key than expected, but still fun and more importantly, very good at grilling for 9 people at once. Soup, salad with ginger dressing, fried rice, 2 grilled shrimp, and veggies come with all hibachi meals. I think the fried rice is the standout piece of this ensemble but all of it's good. Each of us then got exactly what we ordered grilled to our specifications... I played it safe and went for the chicken and steak combo, others with me had chicken and swordfish.
Overall everything was great: the food was cooked to our liking, the sauces were tasty, the performance was fun, and it's always good to see your food prepared only inches away from your plate on a hot grill.
The hibachi prices are higher than we normally spend out for a lunch but certainly reasonable for this type of meal and atmosphere, especially on a Father's Day where a generous daughter was footing the bill. If you have never been here, or you missed it during the pandemic, you owe it to yourself to...
Read moreI took some of my family here and was very disappointed with the chef. The server was excellent and everything else was fine. The chef never introduced himself, dropped his instruments on the floor 3 separate times, flung the food(aimed for mouth) so far past our heads that it almost hit another table, butchered the onion volcano, and various other things. I was happy to pay, but when they came to collect the bill with my card, I asked to speak to a manager and handed him my bill and card. He asked why and I said that I wanted to talk about the chef with the manager. He asked what the issue was l and I mentioned a few of these. He left and came back 10 minutes later and informed us that since the chef had gotten new utensils it was fine. I told him that it wasn't the health aspect, but the lack of skill. Our bill was 60-70 dollars and I am more than happy about the price, but part of that price is a skilled chef. This chef never said more than 2 or 3 words. When I told him that, he looked at me like I was crazy and said "that will happen" I understand mistakes happen. I don't mind at all. It's when there are THAT many mistakes and there isn't even an apology. The table next to us had an excellent chef and I left feeling really ripped off and embarrassed that I took...
