Update Business owner outreached personally and made things right. You cannot bash a business for that. Some people have good days and bad. The owner really stepped up and took accountability for an unfortunate bad day. I would highly recommend this salon and deeply apologize for my delay in updating my review. It's well deserved.
Pros: Friendly Clean Lots of colors...in stock! So many nail salons have colors marked out and don't buy more. Loved that this one did not do that. Reasonably priced
Cons: I live almost an hour from this place. Very busy. Wished more attention to my feet were given during the pedicure as far as callus removal and massage.
So why the 3 stars? I went in on Saturday to treat myself after a long time of no pedicure or manicure. It was a treat myself day and I was celebrating my late birthday. The same lady did my hands and feet. This can be viewed as either a pro/con. I liked my lady, Diana. She was quiet spoken but did pretty good on my feet and my nails. However, that night, I realized I had a bubble on my thumb, in the polish. No biggy but I also knew this meant I may need to drive back.
Next morning I went to do the dishes and the paint chipped. Well, that confirmed I was going back. My husband and I make the drive and Diana was pretty quick to come help. She repainted the thumb but it had all kinds of itty bitty gritty bumps so she shaved it and did it again. I think this caused a different look and poor outcome in the polish. It's thicker, ripply, and darker than my other fingers...I couldn't handle the anxiety of pulling her back again while rushing to do a 3rd round.
This was on Sunday. It is now Tuesday and I already have polish coming off my nails. My middle finger nail is chipped and pulling away from the polish. I added photos for anyone curious.
It's a good shop but you might have issues with the polish. I can't tell if it is the polish or application but I know driving another hour to fix them for a third time is not reasonable for me. I also understand being busy but it is nerve wrecking to me to have to keep asking for it to be redone because it isn't applied the same. I'm not sure but maybe I'll give this place a go again in the future because I did...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisappointed. Iāve been here quite a few times for acrylic/pedicure and usually itās great. This time I wanted a quicker and more simple appointment and just asked for my toes to be repainting and take off acrylic and repaint my fingernails. No gel, Nothing extra. Yet I was there for about 2 hours. Usually it takes about half that time and I have a lot more work being done. The nail lady kept mentioning the polish I selected was cheap, multiple times. I had about 4 different people working on my nails, one person would just stop and someone else would jump in and continue the work over and over. My nails had to be repainted multiple times because they werenāt looking right and bubbling up. I picked a color for my fingers and toes to match. After doing my toes they decided the color was too oily for my hands and would take them too many coats and told me they found another color thatās the same and tried to show me when it was wet. But after drying the colors are not the same. Not what I asked for. Also put gel on my toes and charged me for gel even though I asked for regular polish which is what they did on my hands. Unfortunately my nails look like a child did them. I couldāve done a better job at home and saved myself money. Iām not sure how the workers thought the nails looked good enough to send me on my way. At the end I was on the verge of tears because of the time and money that was wasted. These photos are not even 24 hours after having them done. It looks terrible, doesnāt look professional at all. It wouldāve looked better if I did them myself at home unfortunately. I canāt get over how it looks like a child did them. Iām probably going to have to repaint them myself since they look this bad and since they donāt match the color of my toes anyways like I had asked for. Usually itās a great experience here but I am so disappointed idk if Iāll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter moving to OK, I went to dozens of places over the course of a year looking for somewhere that did a good job and I had horrible luck. When I moved to Mustang, I stumbled upon here and I thought I had finally found a place. I came here for a little over a year and had different nail techs every time but every time I had a good experience, they even did my nails for my wedding and I was very happy with the work they did. It was good until the last 3-4 months. I kept coming back thinking I just had a one off but one too many times the last few months I left the salon with sloppy edges, scuffed up cuticles, uneven thickness, messy polish (especially on the sides), different size nails, sharp corners, completely skipping over the foot massage on pedicures or even the lotion on the hands etc. I don't even ask for anything crazy, I always get the same shape and 1 color, no designs or anything. The last time was the last straw, the acrylic I left with was chunky and made the profile side of the nail point upwards, I had a crack on a toenail that I asked to be fixed and the guy said he would fix it and add glue (I told him I was going on vacation so I really needed it to not break) and he skipped the glue, I think he thought I wouldn't notice, and sure enough the nail cracked a week later on my vacation. The whole appointment felt rushed then they hovered over me at the end for their tip. They also stopped taking American Express. Getting your nails done is not cheap and if I'm going to splurge on it, I'd expect a professional to pay more attention to basic details, it shouldn't look like I did them at home or something. So disappointing, especially since the work was so...
