Billy Sims BBQ — Restaurant in Mustang

I went in for just a regular loaded potato. During the time of waiting I had asked for it to be all separate since I was traveling and the woman that was working that day immediately added stuff to the potato itself. It wouldn't have been a big deal since she remade it but whenever I got it home there was no bbq sauce, none of the extra things like pickle/pepper and the potato was raw. I feel like everything could have been avoided if she had paid attention to her customer instead of only speaking only with her coworker. The guy that worked was awesome but the woman kind of ruined my entire experience. She acknowledged me one time and that was it. I don't plan on ever visiting again. Prices are high and quality is low. No real butter, just margarine, no bacon for a loaded potato and everything is just not great at all. Also, green onions are not chives!!! Absolutely phenomenal experience at Billy Sims BBQ in Mustang, Oklahoma! From the moment we walked in, the place had a welcoming, down-home vibe that made us feel right at home. The real highlight, though, was Roberto, the manager. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure every customer has a great experience. You don’t see that level of hospitality often anymore — he truly went above and beyond.

Now, let’s talk about the food — wow. Everything was cooked to perfection. The brisket was tender and full of smoky flavor, the ribs fell off the bone, and the sides were the perfect complement (highly recommend the mac and cheese and baked beans!). Wow, tried this for the first time and was sadly disappointed. There were 3 employees and the 2 making the order were great, the one at the register looked like he wanted to murder us for walking in the door. That stare was scary. The quality of the food was lacking, our meets were dry and not very flavorful. Like someone skimmed on the rub? Its BBQ so I was expecting flavorful meats. The portions were exceptionally small. The meats probably weighed out according to the menu but the sides were kiddie meal portions . For $20 per person in our party, feel like we didn't get a meal worth that price. We compared this restaurant to Van's and Van's wins hands down. We feed the same size family for half the price and the sides are abundant and the meats are so flavorful that half the time we don't even use the sauce.
