My husband and I put an offer on a piece of furniture that the sales person said the owner would “definitely” accept. The furniture had been sitting there for multiple months and was priced way down. We gave our phone number to the sales person and left excited about likely getting the new piece of furniture.

After we did not hear from the store, we called back and asked about our offer. The sales person basically admitted that they never called the owner and they thought the listed price was fair for that piece of furniture. We asked them to call the owner with our offer and again gave our phone number.

We called today to follow up, and the piece has been sold. The sales person said there are “no notes” showing anyone ever contacted the owner with our offer, and we are incredibly disappointed about losing this piece, solely because the staff did not do their jobs.

We come into this store all the time and have bought several times, but we will seriously reconsider buying anything from them in the future due to this atrocious...

Worst experience ever. I brought in several pieces to consign and was immediately put off by their brusque and snotty attitude. I was not told any information about pricing and was told to wait until they send me an email after they evaluated everything. I never had the option to negotiate or request prices.nOnly a few hours afters after receiving their email with everything seriously underpriced, I responded that was not accepting their terms or pricing and I would return the next morning to retrieve everything. They told me that they had already sold half of my pieces ( for about 1/10 of their value) even though I had not agreed to anything. I had 80:year old antique brass andirons that they tried to price for $79 which I later sold through another consignment company for $1200 ( a few of the items they had not sold). Never again will I deal with this...

I highly recommend visiting English & Co. if you are looking for nice "high-end" furniture or accessories being sold on consignment. Mwife and I have visited here a few times over the past several years to purchase drapes and furniture pieces for our home and have never been disappointed. They offer a large variety and selection of items at very reasonable prices. The items are also presented well, even in their "back area" where most of their merchandise is at. What really sets them apart from many other stores of this type is their friendly and accommodating customer service, which has always been consistent every time...
