8/28 UPDATE : I just received an email from this store that said they finished processing my order today. My order was placed in February and I picked it up in February but they just finished processing it today? Ridiculous.
I placed an order online for pickup in store and while the website was easy to navigate, and I was impressed with the variety and uniqueness of items, I was let waiting and waiting for any update at all. More than a whole business day went by without any update of the status of my order - so it remained as "processing". Rather than following any sort of standard procedure, this store assumed that I would know to come pick it up without any notice. I emailed their contact provided on the website, and received a response very quickly. They told me the following, "We are a large store and we keep everything in stock. Your order is pulled and it has been ready for you since yesterday morning...Usually, orders come from existing customers and they just come in same day to pickup...You didnāt check the box to 'gift wrap' So Iām assuming you donāt need to gift wrapped?" And this assumption is ridiculous. Why not treat every customer the same and standardize your procedure with ordering online? Additionally, I did mark my order to be gift wrapped so I'm not sure what they were looking at that said I didn't - when my order summary said to gift wrap. If it weren't for the friendly associate and the beautiful gift wrapping, I would probably never visit their website or store again. However, while I am disappointed with how they handled this situation from the start, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I am excited to give this gift because it's wrapped beautifully and the gift itself is unique and something I haven't seen before. Nobody offered me one at the time and she didnāt offer to open and re-wrap. When you spend nearly $300 on a baby shower gift, she should have opened the wrap, put in a card, and re-wrapped the gift. Because of this uncaring poor service, I will never go back to this store and would tell people that it is overpriced and poor quality service. Additionally, they couldnāt even print out a receipt. They looked beautiful! The store is very beautiful and has several different unique items available for purchase and monogramming. I was charged a reasonable price for the items I brought to be monogrammed and the staff were very polite and friendly. Any items that I need to have monogrammed in the future, I will continue to bring them here b/c of my great...
