Went in to switch from my family's plan to my own individual plan. Everything went smoothly at first until we started breaking down pricing. I was trading in my old phone and when looking at what my payments would be, decided on the plan for me. Well, we went to the next screen and the salesman realized the prices he was just previously showing me were for a whole different phone, so we had to go back in and of course the prices were higher than they were originally because they were different phones. The salesman blamed it on the device he was using to set me up, it did see it froze up and we had to reset the transaction. Whatever, I get it. Technology doesn't always work, I guess even in the apple store. The salesman was really pushy on me signing up to do my financing through the Apple Card, i told him 3 times i didnt want to but he kept pushing so i finally just said fine so he would leave it alone...then i couldn't even do that because apple's credit check was going to take a week to complete?? Then it came time to activate my new phone and the number associated with the new phone was not correct. His answer was "Oh you'll just have to wait 24-48 hours for the number on the phone to automatically switch" Uh, no? I just bought this phone in store. Make it work, I shouldn't have to wait in limbo on having my phone connected to the correct number. Then! Finalizing checkout...the salesman didn't apply my $200 trade in credit to my account so my payments went up AGAIN and then he gave me back $200+ in cash. Ok, cool i got my trade in value, but i wanted, and it should have been, applied to my new phone so that the payments decrease, that's literally the whole point of trading in. I've been on the phone with Verizon for an hour today trying to get my number changed and even they can't get it figured out. I wont pretend like Verizon are the saints of customer service but they've been astronomically better than Apple was yesterday. Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was really disappointed with my experience yesterday.
My battery was degraded to 62% and my phone was dying four or five times a day so I decided to buy a new battery because Iām not in the position to spend money on a new phone.
I went to this Apple store so that they could change it out, waited an hour, only to be told they couldnāt do it because āmy battery was glued down with something like super glueā and they said that they couldnāt get it out because of that. Because I had taken my phone into a local shop to get my charging port fixed a few months prior (I didnāt go to Apple because they were trying to charge me hundreds of dollars for it and I know how much the part actually costs ā major inflation), I assumed that it happened there. I asked how much my phone would be worth as a trade in for a new phone and they told me my phone wouldnāt be worth anything since my battery was glued down and they couldnāt get it out. I was obviously upset by this news and decided to go back to the local shop that fixed my charging port to see if he could undo what he did with the glue, only to find out IT WASNāT GLUED AT ALL.
The repair man at my local shop took it apart in front of me, showed me, and even let me touch it. The āglueā was just two little strips of double sided tape to keep the battery in place and the batter was extremely easy and effortless to take out. It also didnāt look like glue and the kicker is that Apple would have had to take out my battery to see it in the first place. Essentially, Apple lied to me about multiple things and it seems like the purpose was just to force me to buy a new phone. They could have easily changed my battery and the clearly had no trouble taking it out and putting it back.
Not sure if this is an Apple thing or just this store, but this was a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOkay, so we went to this apple store to buy me a new laptop for my birthday. when we first got there everything seemed to go smoothly. Our questions we answered and what not. Then, my husband and I decided to have a talk for a moment outside so we could discuss the outcome of getting a laptop. We came to the conclusion that we were gonna get one. when we went back in, people were being helped so we waited patiently. About 20 mins go by and no one has come to help us. worker walking pass up ignoring us. Then we see what we thought was a customer being helped by two associates was in face just their friend coming to visit and them just talking stories the whole time we were waiting. And not only that they'd look at us and laugh and look the other way and continue talking to each other not doing their job. So after waiting another 20 mins my husband was getting irritated and went to find someone who came and tried to help us the best he could but was busy already helping someone and he went to try to find help. We then saw associates just leaning against the wall and my husband went to ask for help because we wanted to purchase. The guy who was originally helping us try to find someone came to see if we were okay and we informed him we found someone. So kudos to him. We bought over 1700 dollars of products. And I feel that our attire were wearing is the reason no one wanted to helps us because they felt we didn't have money and that we weren't gonna buy. If that's the case, no one should be judging anyone. And it's a shame on them if that was true and to the company. I was so close in justing upstairs to your competitors and buying from them then being mistreated and I was. Only reason I decided to go with apple is because I have everything with apple product so...
