Very, very, very POOR customer service. Traveled from out of town for a business trip, I needed to replenish some bath gel to use during my stay as well as use once back home - which is a 'treat' for me.The woman who initially assisted me disappeared shortly after she showed me the section containing bath products - and that was when I had questions. So I took the sample product that I was interested in to the front counter only to discover that the staff member behind the counter - possibly a manager due to hearing the conversation between her and another staff member on the other side of the counter where I was standing, not only did NOT acknowledge me, but CONTINUED with their conversation as if I didn't exist - and I was trying to get their attention!! Are you f'n' kidding me?? With the situation we are ALL dealing with today (Covid), customers are just as anxious to be able to make purchases IN-store - the way we used to - as are the companies/stores are anxious to bring customers in and MAKE THE SALE! Not here. Not in this store. Way to go! Maybe I would have gotten actual customer service had I audibly farted! Initially, when we first came in , a younger lady greeted us and asked us if we needed help and kind of hovered in the area we were in for some moments but moved on. We continued to look through the rest of the store, and noticed an older lady following us around but she appeared to be and posed as a customer. She even asked us if we knew where the clearance section of the store was and we said we didn’t know and kept looking at merchandise. We didn’t see anything we were interested in purchasing and began to leave when my friend noticed that the older lady who had posed as a fellow customer and kept being near us in the store told us on the way out thanks for coming in alongside the younger associate. I’m really surprised by the complaints about customer service from some other reviewers because every time I have gone to the cosmetic market the women working have been incredibly helpful and sweet and knowledgeable. The first time I went they helped me find a foundation that doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin (something nobody at Ulta could do in the years I went there!). She took the time to explain to me what was in the foundation (it’s Jane Iredale btw) that made it better for my skin than some others I had tried. I never felt pressured to buy anything and they also have a great rewards program.
