Fur Traders — Local services in Nevada City

Vast, and i mean vast array of new quality leather shoes and boots, leather shoes that are also used, lots of high quality leather jackets / vests (boar,lamb,cow etc) and fur/faux fur jacket, western shirts and ubber soft bath robes. Wish the larger store was still open but this'll do! Lots of product stocked everywhere- Capitalized on use of upper space!

The shoes I bought ended up being a size smaller, 38 instead of what should have been 39s so I'll have to take these back and exchange though box was thrown away at store :/ (gulp) hopefully this won't be difficult as I've gotten a busy tone when trying to call the store. Though I have to say it was Saturday and an overabundance of customers crammed in the store with associates busying about. our saleswoman was peak- multitasking with another associate trying to help ring us as well. The shoes i tried on were piled up so maybe that's where the mixup occurred? Anywho....

it had been stated while we were tying on shoes the problem of larger/ smaller shoes ending up in smaller/ larger boxes had been an issue. We saw this first hand when a box of shoes came out that I was to try on -a size 39 box contained size 40 shoes. Blah....

i didn't see evidence of bad service per numerous other reviews. Rather associates hard at work trying to see what customers needs were. I did witness a customer exit hastily as she stated 'you never carry my size'

Fur Traders is Nevada City's iconic luxury trading post. It is a one of a kind shop! Right when I walked in, I was awed by the decor vibe and merchandise.

The shop is beautifully designed and still shows its gorgeous brick wall bones. The merchandise is displayed in a funky modern way but still having a relaxed welcoming vibe. The sell women and men's clothes, shoes, leather good, hats, bags and purses, sunglasses. socks, and jewelry are one of a kind standout statement pieces. Feminine boho chic snd menswear modern western. Initially I was thinking the prices might be sky high; but after looking at the price tags, they really are not especially in comparison to department store and other chain retailers

The item was bought as a gift for my dad, but he died before this could be gifted to him. I contacted the seller and explained this to them and asked if they would still take a refund even though the item was outside of the 30 day window. The seller replied that yes, of course they would take the item back. I never received a return label from them. I chatted with Amazon three times after that and Amazon requested to the seller that they send me a return label. The seller did not do so. I then called the seller directly to ask them why they weren't sending me a return label, and the seller said that them saying yes to my original return request was a mistake and there was nothing they could do. The item is still in the box and is brand new.
