Crazy Horse Saloon & Grill — Restaurant in Nevada City

My daughter and I stopped here to get her a cheeseburger and French fries 'to-go' after a busy day of holiday shopping in Nevada City on December 24. Ordering via phone was easy, with the person taking my order being super friendly. I was told it would becready in 20 minutes, which it was.

All of downtown Nevada City was busseling with last-minute shoppers, and I was worried we wouldn't find parking anywhere remotely close to Crazy Horse. We were incredibly lucky to have scored a spot directly out front while lines of cars were circling every block looking for parking.

Walking in, the atmosphere was extremely celebratory and high energy with lots of happy looking patrons on every barstool and at every table. I was warmly greeted by the busy bartender as soon as I stepped in, and it felt like a great place to hang out. However, my 13-year-old daughter was waiting in the car for her burger, so I couldn't stay, but I would absolutely love to under different circumstances. My order was ready right away, and the bartender was so awesome and friendly as she helped load me up with condiments and made sure I had everything I needed before I left.

My daughter loved her burger and said said it was perfect. I tried her French fries, which were also excellent-perfectly seasoned and crispy.

Overall, I had an excellent experience and was even more impressed with how positive everything was- from the phone order and parking, to stepping in and being happily greeted by the friendly bartender who gave off happy vibes that made me want to sit down at her bar for the afternoon- especially considering how crazy busy and hectic it was everywhere downtown. I wouldn't hesitate to come back in the future and hope I do...

I was really excited to go eat and drink some beers at the crazy horse on my road trip through Nevada city. Walked in sat down with my wife and waited and waited....... The AC must have been broken because it was hotter inside than out.. Oh yeah... Waited and waited some more.. I watched others come in and wait like we were and then get up and leave. I managed a very busy restraunt and I'm huge on customer service,, i made sure that everyone walking through the door was acknowledged and service time was minimal. it appeared to me that the service was good if you were sitting at the bar.. I don't know what it is about this place but I think they take themselves a little bit too seriously and they've got some seriously aggressive bar staff. And they really do not like dogs. They have a sign in the window that says that if you misrepresent your dog as a service animal it's a crime and they will prosecute you. Who does that?! I wanted to get a takeout order and I had my dog with me and the bartender basically ran to the door and yelled at me that they don't serve animals. Duh! Anyway the burger I got was mediocre and they had football on so what do you expect? This was not an afternoon at the cultural center if you know...
