Solstice — Local services in Nevada City

I have been shopping at this shop for years and have always loved it, until recently..... I still love the store however the employees have changed and not for the better... Was in during a recent power outage and the girl working was so rude that my niece who just moved here said she would never go in there again... She told the girl working that she thought someone had left a pair of glasses and the employee snatched the glasses rolling her eyes and saying very rudely, those are mine and walking away from her..... Truly heartbreaking and I was also treated poorly the same day by the same girl a short time later... As I stated this was during the power outage and I had to take a business call regarding scheduling some equipment and I am a bit loud as I have a hearing problem and tempers were short everywhere during the outage I suppose... However this same employee told my niece she was about to ask me to leave the store that had no customers besides us... It is very unfortunate as I usually spend anywhere from 60.00 to upwards of a few hundred on each visit... looks like I will have to find somewhere that treats their customers the way customers should be treated and not speak to customers with such disdain and...

I was visiting Nevada City from Australia. I went in to the shop with my partner and I found a jacket that was on the mannequin in the window that I liked. I ask one of the shop assistants if I could try it on. She said yes sure!! She removed it, I tried it on and wanted to purchase it. That’s when the fun began, another attendant spoke to the person serving me and said you’re not aloud to sell the window items until the owner says it’s okay….never in my life have I been in a store when the won’t sell you something that has a tag with a price on it. That made me wait while they tried to get hold of the owner with no luck. They eventually took my name and number and told be they would call me at 4.30. I walked out pretty annoyed and went off to look in other shops, 30 mins later it was back on the mannequin in the window and I never got a phone call. Really poor service and attitude if I could have given less than 1 star I would have!

Went in there with my boyfriend, and found a pair of jeans I wanted to try on. No workers in sight, I stood there for 10 minutes waiting. A room opened up so I took the jeans inside and was met with a banging on the door that I “should’ve let them know I was trying something on,” super rude and aggressive. When I was done she was like a vulture trying to pressure me to put the clothes back. She’s got bangs, and she’s the reason I walked out without spending any money. Get your employees an attitude check, and if they need to watch the fitting rooms like a hawk, I suggest you post one of them there...
