Bonanza Market — Local services in Nevada City

Often the cashier is on the phone and while waiting on customers. The costomer survice suffers. This is not true with all of the employees. Today I purchaced something and I was accused of not stating what I wanted apperntly to the cashier and he accused me of not speaking proberly. Really, If he had not been focucing on thre phone call he would have understood. Recently, I spent quite a bit of money here, and this has happened several times. If I could give no stars I would. I used to tolerate this place because of their selection, but most of their cashiers have been very rude, I always wanted to get out of there quickly. Recently I asked a few questions about a bourbon I wanted to buy, and the guy was so patronizing I just left mid “conversation,” put the bottle back on the shelf, and left. The Bottle Shop across from the B&C shopping area in Grass Valley is where I go now. They are always friendly, and willing to answer questions or respectfully tell me that they don’t know. We’re visiting from out of town and stopped here to pick up a few things for dinner. When we went to cook them we discovered the pasta they sold us had expired 5 months ago, and the package of hot dogs over a month ago. Pretty disappointing. Overall this seems like a liquor store that sells a very limited selection of groceries on the side rather than a market.
