We came here because the movie we wanted to see wasnât playing at the bistroplex. The first thing we noticed was the parking reserved for seniors. We thought that was nice and convenient for seniors but there were about 15+ empty reserved parking spaces just for seniors- way too many.
We ordered our food and beverages online and the email for our order said to head to the pick up counter in the lobby. We normally have the option to have our food delivered right to our seat at the bistroplex, which is a really nice feature! But at this theater, they donât have that option. We looked around for a sign that would hopefully say, âpick up order hereâ but found none. So we headed to the counter in the middle thinking all of our order will be ready in one place but were only given our beverage cups and cheese cup for our fries and were told to pick up our hot food at the other food station. Luckily itâs just me and my girlfriend. But if we were a family of 7 this would be too much because it feels like youâre going here and there and then over on other side for food and drinks.
We went to our seats and my girlfriend noticed leftover popcorn in the crevices of the seats, which tells us that the seats and this auditorium wasnât cleaned from the audience before. It also felt dirty by the fountain drink and condiment station, which is a little bit surprising seeing as there were so many employees just standing around or wandering around in groups.
Overall, I think this theater could use a little bit of updating and some cleaning up. Because of the amount of employees just standing around, it would be nice to add the food delivered to your seat option. And beverages can be self serve for the movie-goers. This theater also doesnât have the convenient tables at your recliner seat that the bistroplex has so it makes you think if you really want a meal being carried on your lap and eating it that way or if itâs easier to just get something...
Read moreI love Marcus Ridge. The theater is always clean and organized. The seating inside the theaters is always kept up to par. They have comfy recliners now that are great for sitting in during the movies and getting comfortable. They have first come first serve buy - ahead seating for the theaters. You can always order tickets online beforehand to make sure your seats that you want are saved. Super easy to use Fandango and also use your Marcus magic rewards account to connect and receive the points for that purchase of the movie tickets. The only downside about the reclining seat is that my neck hurts after watching movies, but that may be because I have a short torso so my head sits on the pillow part of the chair, but that's just me. LOL. Zaffiro's restaurant has a good choice of food that you can also take into the theaters while you're watching your movies. Either that or you can eat a head inside of the restaurant and take your items to go. You can eat there separately just on a date night or alone, or you can start eating there and then go eat once your movie theater is open for seating. You can also order things from the popcorn stand from the restaurant and they will give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready for pickup. Great Theatre. Always clean. $5 Tuesdays is an amazing deal for movies! Even new released movies are playing during the $5 Tuesdays. The only thing I would suggest is to buy your tickets online the Monday before that movie, so that you have seating that you would like if you have more than yourself or more than one person going with you to see the movie. Also, arrive early and expect a walk because the parking lots are packed full on Tuesdays, especially in the evenings. This theater still does have matinee prices for I believe before 4 p.m.? Anything else, you can always call the movie theater to ask questions or...
Read moreI recognize that Zaffiro's and Marcus are separate businesses, but they've intermingled themselves here and while it seems like a good idea, Zaffiro's completely tanked the experience. I walked in about 2 hrs before my movie was showing, anticipating dinner with some friends with plenty of time before the show. When I walked in the place was almost completely empty, 1-2 tables sat and a couple at the bar. I was still handed a buzzer and was told there'd be a 15 minute wait while they set up for dinner. Reasonable, but weird. After about 25 mins, we talked to the manager because we still weren't seated. Once we got a table, we got drinks relatively quickly, then our waitress all but disappeared. We talked to the manager 3 more times that evening, to get 1 meal, 10 minutes after the other 2 came, to get another drink order, and to get our check. All of us at the table have worked in service, all of us were as patient as could be, and even when we talked to the manager, it was just because he was the only staff we could find, and we kept it gregarious, but damn! The place was not busy enough to warrant this, and I don't know if it's new, and they're working kinks out, but it's still really bad, even for that. The food was ok, we didn't ask and weren't comped for any of the rotten service. The theater side was fine, comfortable seats, good picture, and sound. The whole experience they're shooting for here is not going to be a good one if this restaurant keeps up like it is. I'm giving it 2 stars because the theater part met expectations, but the restaurant was a 1 star...
