Just got back from this sushi spot, and honestly, we’re still trying to emotionally recover. It was a culinary rollercoaster.
Let’s start with the good: the miso soup was great! Not life-changing, but it showed up and did its job. The crab rangoon? Surprisingly solid. I would definitely recommend it. Crispy, creamy, gave us hope. We were fools.
Then came the ramen. Imagine if spaghetti noodles trained for the Olympics, gave up halfway through, and just flopped into a bowl of lukewarm disappointment. That’s what we got. The broth had some flavor… but the noodles absolutely nothing. Just texture. But hey, the pork and eggs were decent—so a single gold star for effort there.
Now for their signature sushi roll featuring steak. Yes, steak. On sushi. Bold move! How could you not give it an go? Unfortunately, it turns out steak in sushi is a textural crime. While the rice, avocado, cream cheese, and tempura shrimp are trying to have a smooth jazz party, the steak crashes the party and way overstays its welcome. All the other parts of the roll are gone and you’re still chewing away at the steak. It’s chewy, it’s weird, and it’s not the kind of surprise you want from sushi.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a meal that starts with a spark of hope and ends in existential questioning, this is your place. If you want good sushi, maybe...
Read moreFirst time trying Nori Sushi & Grill. Called and ordered pickup and was given a 30 min wait. When I checked in to pick up food there was clearly a lot of others waiting for their orders so I knew I was going to be waiting longer than the given time. No biggie it happens. I noticed a customer that waited the same amount of time as me was given free egg rolls and crab ragoons for their wait when I was not given any freebies for my inconvenience. We ordered steak hibachi and Yakisoba deluxe. Everything was tasty, the only negative was the steak was very tough, overcooked. I was never given an option of how we wanted our steak cooked when ordering over the phone so that was a bummer. We will be back to try again but I only suggest making sure to ask how customers would like their steak cooked and giving everyone freebies when waiting the same...
Read moreAvid sushi lover here, so thought we would stop and try them out. Small casual place, very clean. No table service but that didn't bother us. Take a menu, and when ready to order go up and order. I wish they had a diet soda option, but again, no big deal as we came for the sushi. Ordered the Old Wisconsin roll, Mexican roll, spicy tuna roll, sweet potato roll, mini volcano roll, unagi roll, Phoenix roll, and Hawaiian roll. We loved every one and didn't even need soy sauce. Rice was fresh, and flavors were really good. The rolls with cream cheese were a little heavy on the cream cheese but we are ok with that and it was really creamy. The prices were also very resonable. Highly recommend you give them a try. We will...
