This place is absolutely fantastic. There is a feel you get when you walk through the front doors and see the owner and the beautiful young lady he's with talking story with long time or newly found friends who are comfortably sat in some easy chairs across from them, behind the counter. The place is filled with laughter, joy, stories of older and good times, coins, antiques, stamps, glassware, artwork, history artifacts, old sportscards, and somehow, more coins. It's the feeling of being at home. The atmosphere, personality, and character in that building nestled perfectly on Miiddle Street of historic downtown newbern keeps you from wanting to leave. If you are looking for⁷ something down home, old school, real, more than fair and in showroom quality. You should stop by. These guys are GOOD! It's an absolute pleasure to spend my time there whether I purchase anything or not. I always leave knowing more about something than when I arrived. Those are some genuine good people in there. I’m only posting this because of a really negative review someone left here. I should have posted sooner but I love this coin shop. The owners were extremely nice to us walking through the door and unlike other shops these owners don’t hover over you or pressure into making any purchases. They’ll gladly show you any coin, collectible, or antique you ask. They were always kind and professional. It’s a family owned local business and walking around I would say their prices are extremely fair. I’ve collected coins for a long time and let me tell you, these prices are on point. They’re willing to look at an entire collection of coins and tell you if you’ve got anything good. Many people over estimate the value of something they have. Just because it’s from the 1800s doesn’t mean it’s automatically worth a thousand dollars. The owners are very knowledgeable and having always been kind and that’s why this is my hands down...
