I will never spend a single dollar with this establishment ever again, and I will do whatever I can to let the people of New Braunfels know that EZ Pawn are liars and thieves. My only mistake was trusting EZ Pawn. I am a disabled vet and you can google when disabled vets get paid...it is the 1st day of every month. I discussed my situation with an EZ Pawn employee and was assured that if I extended my loan and kept in communication with the staff then I would definitely be able to retrieve my property on the 1st without a doubt. I signed up for their new Alana system, and I extended my loan. EZ Pawn also has a text messaging system that is supposed to alert you when your loan is coming due...I never received such an alert. I had in the past for other items, but not this time. I checked my Alana account and my loan was not listed. So when I went into the store, not even an hour after they opened for the day, to find out why my loan was no longer listed on my account I was informed that my loan ran out yesterday, YESTERDAY!!! Yesterday at the close of business, not last week, not 3 days ago, but yesterday at the close of business. I never received a text message from EZ Pawn about my property...even though I was assured that I would be safe until the 1st. When I questioned the EZ Pawn “management” about their company text messaging system, I was told it isn’t reliable, or that it doesn’t always work...curious they didn’t tell me that before hand. Then, another “manager” told me “Well, you only extended for 4 days, text messaging only works when you pay for 5 days”. ARE YOU F@CKING KIDDING ME? Why wasn’t I told I needed to pay for 5 days before hand? I am a reasonably educated person, but I am no genius, maybe that is why I don’t understand who bought my property between close of business yesterday and open of business today...when I was assured that wouldn’t happen. So, to recap, I lost my property because their “text messaging system” failed, I lost my property because they don’t accept credit cards(again, never brought to my attention until after the fact), I lost my property because either their employees lie or do not communicate up their chain of command, or I lost my property because I only paid for 4 days and not 5 (which of course I would have if I had been told before hand). If you need a loan in New Braunfels, please go to FREDDY’s PAWN SHOP. Ask for Freddy, FJ or Danny, they are great people, they are honest people, and they give out better money on loans. I made the mistake of trying a business that was a little bit closer to home and a little more convenient, please do not make the same...

Just before Thanksgiving, I took some items to this location for a loan, a gaming system and a few games. Two weeks ago, I went in and renewed the loan so that I would not lose my items. No issues there. Yesterday, I went in to pay it off and get my things back. This is where things went south. They took my money, cashed out my ticket, and went to the back to get my things. After a few minutes, I can see the manager walk by the doorway with my games, but not my system. Now I've used the local pawn shops before, well before they became EZ Pawn. It struck me as odd that my system wasn't bundled with the games, as they've always done. After some time, the manager came out wanting help looking for it because he can't find it... In the end, they could not find it. I was told that it's possible that when one was sold my system was pulled by mistake, or that it might have been pulled to put out to sell by mistake. They had no answers. All they could do was replace it with another one. No getting my money back, just someone else's system they either didn't want or lost. They couldn't even tell me when it was lost. It's possible that when I went in to renew it, that it was already missing. When I asked why the system wasn't bundled with the games as they always have been, I was informed that they've changed that and systems are now bundled separate from games. So my stuff wasn't kept together. I was also informed that once the items are taken for a loan, they are put in the back and not allowed to be touched. This tells me an employee was involved. I was assured that this has never happened and that an investigation would be conducted. However, there was nothing else they could do but give me the replacement system and have me sign a waiver about taking legal action. I just want to warn everyone, so no one has to go through what I did. You take your items in there for a loan, expecting them to still be there when you pay it off. No one is supposed to touch your stuff unless your ticket expires. That system was a gift and also a collector's edition. I will not be using this location ever again, if I ever do business with EZ Pawn again. Your items...

A big fraud and robbery, they not responsible for what they sold, and they don’t tell you have 24 hours to complain and bring something back. I bought a lot of electronics and spend a good amount of money here, and this is the second time I got trick here, first time , well I bought some cameras unable to set up because they weren’t working, today I try to return this Amazon alexa dot cause is something wrong and even Amazon support couldn’t help .. The lady “manager “ refuse to even help, and of course , this is money waste and lost. I don’t recommend this place more, is a rip off. That lady have a bad attitude. But obviously they are to made money not to help customers. For some of us, this pawn shops can be a great help getting something used but still working, when you are only on SS and disable, so, selling something broke is a fraud and very...
