I drove over an hour to shop there and when I got home noticed that one of the items I’d purchased hadn’t been placed in either of my bags.

I called the shop, the lady remembered me, took down my address, and said she would indeed mail the missing item to me.

A week later, I called again and was assured that it would be mailed out that day.

Five days since, I still don’t have the item, and I will not call a 3rd time.

It’s unfortunate because I understand the challenges of running a small business - but with those challenges should come an obligation to follow through on promises made or be proactive when a mistake is made. Unfortunately this has not happened.

The item was not of great monetary value so I won’t raise a stink with my bank, but I also won’t go out of my way to...

I visited this store recently and was impressed by the variety of unique items. However, I had a disappointing experience with the owner/cashier 12-15-24. While I was paying, the cashier kindly suggested stocking stuffers, including pens. I mentioned that I had recently purchased a similar pen-making kit in bulk on Amazon to use with my students at school, and the owner abruptly responded that “big box stores are a bad word” and criticized my choice of purchase.

I understand the importance of supporting small businesses and local artisans—I do it often—but I felt that his comment was unnecessary and dismissive. As a customer, I didn’t expect to be judged for mentioning where I shop, especially when I was there to support his business.

Whenever I travel, I always look for Christmas stores. This one was one of the best of that I have been in.
