Avery's Beverages LLC — Local services in New Britain

I don't know if I'm anyone to argue with 100 years of business...the soda has a nice flavor but they're kind of flat... lacking carbonation. From what little bit I know about the process is the bottles are filled too high. There needs to be a bit of a gap between the fill point and the top of the bottle in order for the soda to gain carbonation. We looked at all the bottles we bought and they're filled incredibly inconsistent. So we suspect some should have a nice carbonation but the rest will be rather flat. It's a great concept soda and the flavor is tasty. It would be better with just a simple quality control adjustment.

UPDATE: This was moved to a 1 Star rating. The bottles had loose glass on the inside and when we tried to return the remaining unused bottles, they gave us a major hard time. They were very rude and get this....once they took the unused bottles back, they didn't want to refund what we paid. In other words...they were going to re-sell the soda we gave them back and get paid twice! When they were finally convinced they owed us money tell still shorted us about $10.

The soda was horrible....it wasn't made right and honestly the health department should probably come and shut it down...it's filthy...

So disappointing. We arrived 12:10 aftrr a half hour drive to Avery (our actual destination) and were told the bottling machine would be running again about 1:30 or 2:00. We came back at 1:50 and were told that the bottling process would begin in about 10 minutes. We picked up a couple of 6 packs of various sodas and waited around. At 2:10 I asked if they could let us know when the bottling process would start. The woman said, "You'll hear it." At 2:25 the staff had been mostly hanging out and ignoring us.

We has inquired about this at 12:10. We returned when they told us to, and had selected sodas for purchase, so we were obviously interested. The staff seemed to willfully ignore us, so at 2:25, after this treatment, we left. The visit left a bad taste in our mouth. Just rude and disappointing. Ridiculous way to treat eager customers. This place is only about I mile from my house. They have great soda. There are lots of choices when it comes to the flavors, including my personal favorite, Birch Beer. The staff is friendly. They do some creative things in naming the flavors, which can be amusing at times. They can also make custom labels, which I think is awesome. I'll include photos of a couple labels I liked in particular, enough to keep and display in my garage. Five stars to this New Britain staple. You can even make your own soda... The soda is sold in two different sized bottles. You can purchase a case of assorted flavors (mix & match) which is good as well, but hey, if you want all the same flavor, you can do that too. They aim to please. I can't say enough good things about this place. 5...
