Painted Shutter Antiques — Local services in New Britain

Drove out here to explore this shop only to find it CLOSED when all the on-line sources says it should be OPEN. No hours posted, no sign on the door. So we called to see if anybody would answer and someone DID answer. He said he is not open today. I then explained that his website says that it IS OPEN and we drove out here to shop. He said he wasn't feeling good this morning. Well I'm sorry but that is just lousy business and customer service. It is 2:00, so couldn't he just open for us since we were right at the door? Couldn't he have left a note explaining the circumstance? And most of all, GET SOMEONE TO COVER FOR YOU. The last thing a business needs is an angry customer, and now...

This is one of my favorite stores on the entire east coast. I visited a while ago from out of town, and I'm planning a trip back to stock up on one-of-a-kind decor pieces and furniture that has a story, there are so many wonderful goods here!
