Extremely Poor Consignment Experience at Chalfont Sports Connection
I want to share my incredibly disappointing experience with Chalfont Sports Connection, undoubtedly the worst consignment shop I have ever encountered. My collaboration with them, spanning from February 2022 to March 2023, resulted in an abysmal financial outcome. Their inability to maximize the value of the cards I sold through them, combined with the overall decline in the sports card market, led to substantial losses.
Chalfont Sports Connection proved to be woefully inadequate in securing the best returns for the cards I consigned with them. Despite the market downturn, their performance was shockingly poor compared to other consignment services. It was evident that they lacked the necessary expertise, connections, and strategies to navigate the fluctuating market effectively. As a result, I experienced an additional loss of approximately 60%, on top of the 50+% decline in the sports card market since its peak in April 2022.
The sheer incompetence of Chalfont Sports Connection in optimizing card sales is truly remarkable. Their inability to adapt to market conditions and capitalize on opportunities made it abundantly clear that they are ill-equipped to handle consignments effectively. It is deeply frustrating to witness such a significant loss, especially considering the potential value that could have been realized had I chosen a more competent consignment shop.
In summary, I strongly caution anyone considering consigning their cards with Chalfont Sports Connection. Their subpar performance and lack of expertise in maximizing returns demonstrate that they are ill-suited to handle consignment transactions. Given the significant financial loss I experienced, coupled with the overall market decline, it is evident that choosing an alternative consignment service would be a more prudent decision.
To be clear...this is what they do. They list a lot of cards starting at $1.99, charge $.50 a card, and give you 80% of the auction price. They do not advertise. So if you give them a lot of 10 cards that sell for $12, they give you $4.60.
Absolutely Brutal. The owner is a shark too.
They go by sports car investor store on eBay. They also mucked up cards that I submitted to PSA. Phil look for the worst price and then give you 70% of that if you sell something to them.
They also pay to have negative reviews removed. I left two reviews already that they've had scrubbed off here.
Brandon is a shark. Brian is a shark. I guess you have to be as a retail store. I can't imagine that they have many long-term...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis store has it all!! Hands down the best card store Iāve ever been to. They have everything from hobby boxes, packs, Memorabilia, apparel, to a TON of 5000 ct boxes of singles (loaded with stars) to go through for hours. The best part about it is that the prices are unbeatable! Iāve been to the store about 5 time since they opened up about a month and a half ago, and they are always loading up with new content daily. The owners are very nice, and pleasant to talk to. Even my wife and kids enjoyed our visits. I rarely write reviews, but felt this store was well deserved of one. We are truly blessed to have a local card store, but to have one this great is...

I have also been breaking and consigning with them for years, and can't recommend the experience enough. Breaks are fairly priced and ship lightning fast. Consigning my sports cards with them always get me top dollar on EBay compared to comps. They also get listed within a day or two of receipt. I really can't recommend this...
