I took a stroll through the store to see what it's about. Prices seem fair. the produce was spotty; fruits look very nice, but the lettuce and other greens, a bit sad and wilted. I ordered a latte that was well made and in all ways good. Learned that nearly all the baked goods are purchased frozen and sold thawed; not sure I'd call that "fresh." In the refrigerator section, I was intrigued by a small container with "squid salad." I love squid, and have enjoyed many a squid salad in the Mediterranean vein. I brought this small container back to my office, and on first bite, I discovered something so unlike any squid I've ever had...and not in a good way. Not just chewy like how over-cooked squid can be like eating rubber bands. These pieces were HARD, and hard to eat. The spicy chili flavor, very nice, but otherwise, I would give this particular concoction one star, and that would be generous. To be fair, other things looked very nice, and the cooked options also...
Read moreI’ve been looking forward to Market 360 for months since Elm City Market closed and I could not be happier! The wide range of product offered is honestly so impressive, and it’s eliminated my need to leave New Haven for so many speciality items, which is such a huge perk. Tonight, I walked in looking for a very specific item and the owner paused what he was doing to assist me and while what I was looking for was sold out, he was so kind and asked me to come back tomorrow, promising me that the item would be restocked and also taking the time to give me some friendly tips on how to prepare it. I’ve been recommending the store to coworkers and friends alike and they will likely see me shopping here an embarrassing amount. Price, convenience, a huge selection, and an owner and staff that cares will win you long time customers every time and I’m one of them! We’re happy to have...
Read moreWent in on Sunday morning, fathers day, thinking I might get a couple things. The guy by the door greeted me nicely but then a woman gave me a nasty look, which I returned, sorry but it is a terrible way to welcome someone to a store, and she then proceeded to follow me around with a walkie talkie of all things, who uses those anymore? She followed me around the entire store like I was going to steal, which I certainly wasn't so I couldn't enjoy looking at things. Forget buying anything! The other employees seemed nice but my experience was ludicrous. The store has many Asian items which could be interesting but I probably will never go there again. Many aisles were empty,. There was only one other customer at almost 11 am on Sunday. It was a...
