Pizza was good. Horrible experience with customer service.
I ordered a pizza through delivery...didnt receive after an hour. I then called the restaurant to inquire about my order in which they told me that the order was already delivered. I informed him that the driver must have went to the wrong place because I have three hungry kids sitting here waiting on this pizza and the pizza has not arrived yet. He insisted on telling me that yes my order was delivered to me and I told him that it was not he then checked into it they delivered it basically to the wrong person and try to blame it on me because my cell phone number wasn't correct I was told that the pizza was delivered here to my apartment once they delivered the correct Pizza to myself which happens to be the second one made.
I asked them to describe the person that they gave my pizza to and the guy told me he couldn't because it was another driver... Hmmm well here's a genius idea send the same driver that you sent to deliver my first pizza out that gave it to the wrong person back to the house where he delivered it to because I can guarantee you he didn't deliver it here and he will not say that he saw my kids or myself.
I felt as if i was being accused of stealing a $15 pizza. And i will never order from...
Read moreI discovered Marco Polo and their typical street-side slices while on a train lay-over at Union Station. There's not a lot to choose from near the train, and I was in need of a special request. Surprisingly, Marco Polo's menu had just what the doctor had ordered -- chicken noodle soup. While waiting for a very large to-go soup, I sampled two slices for myself: a plain cheese (a good baseline) and a buffalo chicken slice. The plain cheese was not New Haven style 'apizza,' but more of the usual New York slice -- extra large, tangy cheese and a thin smear of a sweet tomato sauce. The crust was thicker and both snappy on the bottom and chewy on top. As far as walk-up slices go, it was a decent lunch choice. The buffalo chicken was a tad disappointing. Though loaded with chicken, it was not truly spicy buffalo and rather bland. I like my buffalo slices with a lot of hot sauce and zing, though. The best part of the quick stop was the chicken noodle soup that was loaded with veggies, noodles, and fresh chunks of chicken. It was so hot that it was still steaming when I arrived back at Union Station with my special delivery...not bad considering the food dessert surrounding the Amtrak stop in New Haven. The slices and soup definitely beat what's...
Read moreI discovered Marco Polo online and saw they had decent reviews. I decided to order from them for the first time. I had $55 in food. I live four miles from them and delivery took an hour plus after being told 40 minutes. I immediately notice they forgot to bring the 2 liter bottle of soda that ordered and paid for. As I begin opening the food And unwrapping it we discovered that the sausage and pepper sub had a huge piece of hair in it. The Pene Alba vodka is disgusting! They can’t even spell vodka correctly on the label. I called immediately and asked for a the manager or an owner. Took about ten minutes to get to someone. The manager was very unpleasant. Would not let me talk. I simply wanted a refund. After a long argumentive conversation he said he needs to get the owner’s authorization to refund me. He wasn’t willing to fix the issue. I am completely disgusted with the customer service and very disturbed with the unpleasant food. I can just imagine what the kitchen looks like. Will not ever go back nor recommend them. Terrible...
