T.J. Maxx — Local services in New Lenox

Loved this location and have been going for years now but I don’t know if customer service doesn’t exist anymore because I had the worst experience yet at Thai location. When I got to the checkout the woman whos name I wasn’t told seemed like I was an inconvenience from the tone of her voice and after I pay and when I turn to leave her voice is cheery going back to her coworkers and she says something about how she can get back to what she was talking with them about “after I was rudely interrupted by a customer” and she word for word said that, now I don’t know if that is a joke but to say that in earshot as I’m leaving is just plain not right. I’ve worked retail for years… I would never say that because I wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for customers… maybe I’m being over dramatic but...

Came in today went straight to the men’s section for my husband i get him 2 bottles of Cologne(in men’s section) which someone had to come unlock. I get home & he tells me one of them are a woman’s purfume. I call them because i want to return it before wasting a drive out there since im 20 mins away. Someone by the name of Marilyn answers & was HORRIBLY RUDE! Tells me too bring it in with receipt & hangs up on me. I call back because i want a REFUND NOT STORE CREDIT! Then someone new answers after i call back immediately she tells me she cant tell me over the phone. I didnt spend $65 on mens cologne for it too be for women! I just know when i come tomorrow i better receive my REFUND! I will be asking for a manager to formally complain...

Today I went to buy some things but a a latino I got very upset because a lady who doesn’t know English, she was having a hard time and that Branca lady scream at the customer and she has a very bad attitude I don’t know why she is helping there if she doesn’t speak English and that’s it’s a bad experience how can she be yelling a customer who doesn’t speak English. That cashier stefani helped her translate she was very polite and understandable.
